Hi all!

Got the first beam for the deck extension built and in place, ready to attach and put in the support posts (to the concrete columns).

Hopefully I'll be able to get out for a few hours tomorrow, finish that beam and do the initial fab and placement of beam two.

Testing....1....2.......

Prayers for success with the steroid shot.....Family drama....I've seen that movie....

Well got that old pickup bed painted and installed....Customer was real happy and I joined the happiness when he paid me....then outta the blue he asked if my tractor was for sale....He got that as well....Kept that old girl 5 years and made $100 over what I gave initially....Unk says the time to make profit is when you purchase not when you sell....$100 and 5 years use....I'm good....Missed a deal on a Kubota backhoe tonight....got beat to it....Had a 14 Kubota Hoe on the back burner due to the turf tires it rides on...Good news there is old dude chopped the price to @ 2500 less than what's the average and as Dee's luck would have it I found 4 new Kubota tires and rims on the Craig's....So I'm wheeling and dealing so I can get that septic tank back to working here in a couple of weeks.....That stump at the beach????? I dug for a couple of days with the hole diggers and shovel...I was driving the Ranger at the time and it wouldn't yank it the last bit...trust me I leaned on it....that was last year and so far the almighty Dodge that I'm sure would give it the heave ho hasn't been there...Old stump hole has filled back up about half way and I've been dodging it on the mower for years....Bet this....My next digging adventure will be done sitting on my hind end.....

Hubs says after enduring the pain of that shot he should have felt better on the spot....LOL. Too bad it doesn't work that way. Doc says it can be 1-7 days before he feels any pain relief....if he does at all.Keep those good thoughts and stuff coming..............

Glad to hear the shots are helping [emoji5]

Progress on the deck extension, first beam is complete and the second beam boards are put together, ready to cut and add posts.

The water level is way up again in the lake - it's supposed to be at the far edge where the last row of trees are, several feet lower than at present. Our water level now is more like normal spring flood than late July.

I hope the shot continues to work....

Construction !!!!!! Don't hit your thumb with the hammer !!!

4 hours one way into Virginia to see a 2013 Kubota Hoe today....As usual I built a fire and held the guy's feet too it....He saw things my way and I'm supposed to get it tomorrow.....Still I'll be on edge until the deal is done....Tired is what I am and guessing that trend will continue....

So happy to read about hubs pain relief Fran. That's awesome! Wishing him continued relief. :)

Time to get moving here as we head home today. A little beach, a little water park and a whole lotta boardwalk. Vaca 2017 was a good one!

I miss my daughters, my mom and my dogs....and I cannot wait to sleep in my own bed!!!!

Skeeters have been bad here this year, but on the lake I can imagine how bad they are for you, Mark!

Glad your vaca was a great one, Tracy!

My day can only improve from here...I spaced out and forgot to put my mug under the coffee maker. In the middle of checking my blood sugar, I hear the coffee splattering all over the kitchen counter o_O

Katie has a Dr appt to hear how her heart ultrasound looked. He's not gonna be too happy that she refused to get the blood work he also ordered. She's trying to squirm out of going to the appt today! If I can't get her to go, I'll go talk to him by myself.

Been a bumpy road lately. Ex is back to pretty much full time drinking, along with other, harder things. Cops were out twice in one weekend a couple of weeks ago, but did nothing. His parole officer couldn't care less about any of it. So if anyone has noticed I've been on the quiet side recently, this is why. Tired of living with it...even tireder of whining about it.

Sorry to hear things are down for you Bov.

Good news on the FDA front FDA to pursue lowering nicotine in cigarettes in bid to get smokers to quit

A short extract: "...Many also pointed to a second major announcement that FDA rolled out at the same time: the fact that it was delaying for several years its regulation of e-cigarettes and cigars, including flavored vaping products that studies show are especially enticing to youth...
