They hate me too! My Dad bought me a favorite of his one year...the powder mildew stuff got it. I’m not a huge fan of roses though so.

I'm not planning to go crazy with gardening or landscaping here. I don't want a whole lot of stuff I have to work too hard to take care of! I don't have gutters on my house, so I'm thinking of rimming the house with a white rock border to control erosion, and splash of dirt onto the siding. Maybe a few Crepe Myrtles along the north side property line, to add a little bit of buffer between my yard and the brick duplex next door. The neighbors in both rentals are nice, but they need to be nice on their own side

I do still want to do a paver patio in the back, about 12x12. Anybody who wants to help is welcome to come on down LOL!

I'd been debating cutting a little grass for other people....First job completed today....Every bit helps...

The situation.....Florence is now a monster....Predicted to hit at Topsail Island....My trailer is 4 miles behind Topsail....After landfall at somewhere in the 150mph range it's gonna turn and come here to my home...Friday at 8am 100mph winds forecast here....Top that with Florence dragging ... and dumping an estimated 15 inches of rain....We're gonna experience hurricane force winds for more than 24 hours....I can't see the trailer making it through the initial landfall....Here at home a creek runs directly behind my shop and 15 inches of rain is on the way....My plan is have Mom stay with Sis and I'm setting up operations in Mom's house....Gonna hit the beach and grab whatever I can....damn sure my Cub Cadet....I can't see having power for an extended time post hurricane....I got 908's number and I'll try and hit the FB from my phone....Sheet is about to get real....

Good morning Fran. I spent Sunday cleaning up (out) the basement so the furnace can be cleaned today. Sure hope he’s here on the early side cause I’ve got stuffs to do. 8-12 they said. Watch, 11 is when he will show up.

ElDee, I’m still a fan of you getting your mom safely situated and you and Sir Spike beating feet until it’s over!
Bov and Pokey, not sure of how far you are from all of this but same goes for you! Safety first, rest will come later.

Tension as you can imagine is at an all time high.....Rain has now been forecast at 24++....Nothing else changed other than a 10mph drop...Forecast to get that 10 back and likely more....Eye wall regeneration they call it...

Damn Dee, sorry you are right in the bullseye!! Tracy has my number too, I'll update her if we lose power. I remembered to get a car charger for my phone...I guess I can charge my mods with it too if necessary. I should be ok with 7 sets of 18650s. I put the older ones on the charger for backups, they still charge, but don't last as long as the newer ones Mark gifted me.

There's a high developing over the Ohio valley err someplace such...Gonna put the brakes on Florence and they say she's gonna be here for 4 days....NOAA said this evening the storm of a lifetime....GREAT....Usually we look at the tide on landfall and hope it's low....Florence is gonna sit there pounding through several tide cycles...Now they're saying in excess of 40 inches of rain.....Not really sure if I'm coming or going at this point but one things for damn sure....I'll be glad when this all goes away.....Heading too the beach tomorrow and snagging my mower and shark tooth collection....Gas is unavailable and don't even look for water....I hear diesel is available...I'll be needing a tank tomorrow....Needing to find a place to fill the Tacoma before the sheet hits the fan...

Prayers are a coming! I’m not sure if you saw my fb post, but take lots of pictures of your house, inside and out, as it can serve as receipts to insurance companies. Better safe than sorry.
Valuables are best stored in a dishwasher as it is water tight and secured to the wall surrounded by cabinets. (If you have one? I don’t)
