There are 2 types of dishwashers, Tracy, built in and portable. I have a portable and I would not store anything in it.
I don't have a dishwasher either, but the only valuable I'm worried about is Chase! Our prediction as of right now is mostly rain...nothing compared to Dee. They are saying 5-10" for us now, and I'm sure that will be adjusted as the storm gets closer. I moved my car over to the lawn on the north side of the house where there are no trees. Now it's just a waiting game.

Well now......Thanks for all the well wishes...All hatches battened.....The front of the storm has arrived.....All Hell is scheduled to break loose somewhere around 3 am....At some point I'll have to evacuate my house due to the creek separating me from the road....Hanging here until then cooking and prepping...Not sure about electricity going forward....I'll check in when I can....
Pokey wanted me to let yall know that she's safe, as am I so far. She's checking last minute prep for herself as well as her patients. She came by for a bit this morning. With the latest shift in Flo, we are expected to start seeing the rain and winds late Friday into Sunday.
We'll see street flooding as the rain comes faster than the storm drains can divert it, but real flooding shouldn't be a problem for us. Will check in as I can. Prayers for everyone in the path!

We're starting to get just a little bit of increase in wind as the first outer band approaches. Nothing severe yet...Mother Nature decided night time is when she prefers to scare the chit out of us with the higher winds coming in tonight.
Florence is on us and it's raising Hell outside....So far as I know everything is holding fast for now....The eye came ashore on Wrightsville Beach a little South of my beach trailer....Hoping for the best there...Power has been off and on but on now so good....Creek is doing it's job as well....We still got a long way to go but so far so good
Wind is getting gusty here, big limb down out of an oak tree in the back neighbor's yard. It missed his shed, so that's good. Gusts around 40mph so far.
