You were into sex,drugs and rock 8 roll? I didn't even get tempted. Too busy raising a kids and such stuff.
Not drugs, Fran. I had a good job, before I was drafted and I didn't want to screw that up. I drank, I smoked cigarettes and did some MJ on rare occasion, but nothing else.
Sometime after Woodstock, I went to one on a college campus. It was a small version of Woodstock. The wine and MJ was everywhere. There was a cop patrolling our section, but he was looking out for violence and just looked the other way where drugs were concerned.

I am a little late but, Happy New Year everyone!!!
I stay so busy that I don’t know if I am coming or going these days. We sold our house pretty quickly in the upstate. We had no choice but to put all of our belongings into storage and stay in a hotel until we found a house.
Took us about two months to find a house and now we are still working on getting everything out of storage and settling in. I have my grandson this week. My son and his fiancé just landed in Vegas where they will marry tomorrow. Then they are off to San Francisco to attend the championship game and cheer Clemson on. They are both Clemson Crazy lol

Clemson....Well I live in the shadows of UNC Chapel Hill....I roll with the Wolfpack though....My Dodge dually came from a little town called Pickens, SC....I was there last February....Clemson was nearby and for the record I've always liked the Tigers....

Last couple of days I've pumped a sheet load of water from under the house.....Few hours later I pump it again....This all has the appearance of insurmountable odds....Trust I ain't about to give in....I've got a plan...

Dee, when it rains too much or too often, I get water in my basement. Pumping it out is a losing battle, I have to wait until the ground is dryer and it drains on it's own.

Water? Yeah we’ve had plenty of it. Each time it rains I cringe bc I need one of my roofs replaced. It’s a slate roof and I’m replacing with asphalt shingles. Quoted $3500 last summer as there is no wood beneath it currently. I’m not hopping over buckets mind you but it’s running inside the wall. Ask me how I know? Mold on exterior wall in my closet. **cries**

I was a bit too young for Woodstock, but I spent plenty of later years living "the lifestyle."

Woodstock 50.....I was 9 years old in "69....The time....the people...the music....None of that is the same...I gotta agree with the mere shadow....Just another festival using a legendary name....or maybe not
In other concert news....The 3 day Carolina Rebellion has moved from Charlotte Motor Speedway to the North Carolina Motor Speedway in Rockingham...50 miles closer and I know that place like the back of my hand...All the bands I liked were grouped into the same day so just maybe I might go....or maybe not
Two holes I dug inside the access doors are dry for the most part...Instead of 30 minutes pumping to dry them out it's less that a minute now....Getting ready to try and fish that copper pipe in this afternoon....Living in a swamp has it's challenges I tell you.....Rain for tomorrow.....Great....

Thanks for the congrats, guys. I am beyond thrilled. The girl that he is marrying is just an awesomely good person. Se is a 4th grade gifted and talented teacher at my grandsons school. He loves her dearly.
