Thanks, Salem. His phone turned out to have shorts in the battery and the usb port, so it's turned into a multi day ordeal for him. I will say that Cricket Wireless's customer service is not stellar. Fortunately he has the insurance plan for his phone, but it has a $40 deductible. We ended up spending the whole day dealing with it, having to download forms, then scanning ID, filled forms, his first born child...LoL!! More jumping thru hoops today, and then hopefully they will overnight his replacement phone! All of this done on my phone and computer since his phone is his only outside communication. I am glad to help him get it all straightened out. Lord knows I have some of the kindest, most generous people in my life, and PIF is the only way I can pay back the kindness I've been shown

Thank you, ladies!

The ordeal for him continues, poor guy! They are giving him a hard time because his new mailing address doesn't match the address he had when he signed up with Cricket. Granted, he should have changed his account info, but he just moved into the house a couple of weeks ago. More hoops today, waiting for another email for him to respond to tomorrow, hopefully with the ability to pay his damn deductible. He's WAY too nice to them on the phone...I wanted to take the phone from him and give them a tune up on this BS situation  I can't even loan him my tablet and let him use my wifi because he's 2 houses down, not next door. His only internet is his data plan, he has no TV, nothing. And I'm getting people'd out

Talked to my fence lady today. She asked me for patience because her husband is working some magic with his supplier to get a rock bottom price on some pieces he didn't already have in his shop. She said she and her hubby fell in love with Bella, and want to make this as inexpensive as possible for us

Darn, Bov. I hope that the neighbor doesn’t end up being a Pita for you.

LD, I agree with Fran. Don’t overdo it and remember to keep a good eye on your bp (says the girl that is supposed to be tracking her own and only checked once in 4 months lol)

I know that you keep healthy snacks with you now to keep bs stable. Only takes one or two of those drops to never want it to happen again. ;)

I will be driving about 500 miles tomorrow. I have to see my PM doc back in the upstate. Hopefully I will have one here soon and won’t have to do this again.

I could of went today and stayed at my moms old place tonight. Just not quite ready to go back there yet.

Last week I had a nice long conversation with the tech who scanned my carotids....All off the record....He said 100% clear left and very slight buildup right....Great blood flow....I get back home and have a message from my regular Doc....She strongly suggests a statin to prevent stroke due to carotid scan....I know I probably should be on statin drugs....I also know diet likely can get the numbers correct....Just how much is the statin drug company offering my Doc....That tech is the one who suggested my blood sugar went low....Our conversation is between us....I pretty much trust what he said and no way gonna throw him under the bus....

Bov keep an eye on that neighbor....Same with Bella in a fence.....keep an eye on her....I trust neither the neighbor nor fence....No comment on falling due to the karma thingy.....

Had a friend from home living about 1/2 mile from my beach trailer for many years....I'd known the fella since the sixties when he ran with my Unk....2 beach trips back I went up and sat with old boy for a spell and had planned on riding by yesterday....He passed yesterday....That's him on my FB wall....

I'm taking it as easy as I can....I got sheet that's gotta get done though....Given everything that has transpired the last couple of months my diet is in the can....Giving up the Nic....all the stress from the medical sheet.....those frikkin LDLs......TAKE A STATIN !!! Son of a beech now.....I'll get my diet right in due time....I'll eat right and frequently but it prolly ain't gonna be tomorrow or this week....I've cut the fats....The sugar is an issue right now though....I'll get it handled now that things have settled down some....I still crave nicotine and am fighting that as hard as possible....I'll win because I have to....Same with the sugar.....Has anybody got any cake??????

Safe travels Salem. Hope it’s the last trip and you get someone closer. I know the feeling and how awesome it was when I was finally able to have Madison seen by a local eye doctor, after 8 years of traveling to see specialist.

ElDee, to statin or not? Your health, your choice my friend and I completely understand wondering how much pharma is paying the docs! I like truvia as my sweetener since going Keto. Monkfruit is another option but I haven’t tried it yet. I hated stevia. I can’t do black coffee so I had to find something. I also use Torani sugar free French vanilla syrup in my coffee. I was a former heaping teaspoon of sugar and coffeemate French vanilla creamer in my cuppa for what it’s worth. My switch took a little getting used to for sure, but I love it now and think Bos coffee is sickening sweet now whenever I’ve sipped his.

I’m in a bit of a fog from shock as of late.
A cousin that I’m very close to (yes another one) was just diagnosed with uterine cancer. She’s still in her 50s and hasn’t done a bit of partying in her life. No alcohol, no drugs, nada!
I’m having a very difficult time trying to wrap my head around this one and questioning things. I don’t believe I will ever be able to make any sense of it. Such a good person, a pillar of strength in our family. Senseless. Shocked. Saddened.
My other cousin is doing well and I can only hope and pray the same for this one. If anyone deserves a miracle, it’s her. For those that can please say a little word for her to the man upstairs. Thanks! Hugs

Dee, slow and steady changes work best for me. If I plunge head deep into too many changes at a time, I fall off the wagon. I know you already know this...just a reminder!

Fence estimate came in higher than I had hoped, but still going to have it done. Bella still won't be outside alone very often, but this will give us both more room to play and run. Her 'zoomies' are severely limited by the length of her outside lead right now!!

The neighbor saga: He has had 2 strokes, and has a severe stutter (he's only 45) so he requires lots of patience from customer service. Yesterday he gave them permission to work with me on getting his sheet straightened out...and progress was made. They voided the first insurance claim after discovering name and phone model mistakes due to customer service guessing at what neighbor was trying to say. We are now waiting for them to process the new claim, and email the link for deductible payment. I HOPE we are almost finished with this thing so I can have my solitude back!!

Tracy, prayers for your cousin. I've accepted that life just isn't fair to most people :(

Dee, I'm sorry you've lost another great friend.

Duke Energy's tree trimming crew did me a solid today! They have been doing the annual spring line clearing in our hood for a couple of weeks. I talked to one of the gents about what to with the limbs that tickle my lines coming from the pole to my house, and he told me to call Duke and request they trim them. I called, and was told that the lines coming into my house are my responsibility, so I figured that was the end of that.

This afternoon a truck rolls into my driveway, the young man said Duke had asked him to drive by and make sure my trees were not interfering with their side of the lines...they are not. He asked if I had contacted a tree service to take care of my side, I told him no. He just smiled, pulled his gear from his truck, and did the job for me! I thanked him profusely, offered to pay him something, and he refused...just said, "We all need to take care of each other better!"

Somebody raised this young man right

No progress on the neighbor's phone woes, tho
