This is great - for a noob using drip tips, it was fantastic to get my attys all sparkling. My method was less than precise (just filled up the atty with baking soda about half-way, then just poured vinegar until I couldn't see any more baking soda, then rinsed a few times, blew it out, dropped a few drops of lemon juice, rinsed a few more times, and dried overnight). No vinegar or baking soda taste!

Any tips on how often I should be using this method?

I tried this tonight and the carts are currently in the dehydrator. I'll let update when I have more info. Thank you so much for tip!

Update: The cartos had been in the dehydrator for nearly 4 hours. They're practically dry. I'd say two more hours and they'd be perfectly dry. Two were still damp enough to produce vapor. I screwed up on three of them (two of those are the ones still producing vapor). I can really taste the baking soda. I assume I didn't rinse them well enough. I'm about to fill the remaining seven and I'll update once that's done.

Update: Currently vaping one of the cleaned cartos. It works great!

I use baking soda and vinegar to clean my home. We do not use any other chemicals here in the house. I don't know why I didn't think of this! But I am glad you did and very glad you shared this with the forum.

I have always used IA. I doubt that I will ever use IA again. Last night I tried it your way. Your method worked great and it is fast. I think the end result was better than a using IA.

Well Done and Thank You!
Happy Vaping,
Paula

I don't know if anyone has tried this, but it works for me. I put about a half teaspoon of baking soda into the atty and then pour in some white vinegar. I then immediately plug the opening with my thumb which causes the volcano pressure to exit out the little connector hole. I repeat this a few times and the atty looks brand new, all odors are gone. I rinse with a little hot water, blow it out and I'm good to go. Atty is fresh as a new one.

Hi Keys Bum - Love that fish.

I did not meter my attys before and/or after. To be honest with you, I was so tired when I did it, and they were do dang dirty, I just wanted to see if it worked for myself.

I cleaned them. But them on my pv, then did a dry burn to dry them a little. Hit them with some juice and it was fantastic.

Has anyone check the atty resistence before and after cleaning? Any delta?

As a matter of fact, I was curious whether there would be a change so I ohm'd them out before, after cleaning, and after drying...no delta.

It's official then...the rondodog method :thumb: I now have three atty boxes: one marked "New", one marked "Dirty", and one marked "Rondo'd"

Would it better to dry burn the atty BEFORE the BS/Vinegar treatment?

Maybe. Maybe not. I cleaned it first with the thought that I was attacking the build up on / in the atty. Figured that after I had it somewhat clean, the burn would be more effective.

Also, the dry burn after the cleaning served to help dry the atty. I put in on my battery and vaped immediately.

The IA clean I was doing required the atty's to sit until all IA had evaporated and they were completely dry.
