Made it through 3 weeks now with no analog. I started vaping the minute I quit. I have not been vaping a whole bunch the last 4 days due to having the flu. Kind of irritated the throat a bit during the illness. Which at the onset of my illness I thought it was the vaping but the feverish chills and aching body convinced me otherwise. I have been vaping a bit more today but there is no taste at all so it is more for the feeling I guess. What's funny is I think I might have thought about having an analog once but never did and the reduced vaping did not bother me much either. I have smoked for at least 30 years so to me this is quite an accomplishment.

Hi, daoliv and congratulations!

(Welcome to ECF, too :) )

The taste will return, trust me. Could be from all those years of smoking or just because of the flu. A lot of "tasting" is really smell, and I'm sure the flu did a temporary number on your nose.

Hope you feel better soon and Happy Vaping!

Something to be very proud of. Funny - I got the same kind of sickness a couple of weeks into quitting and replacing the analogs with vape. I think it is withdrawal from formaldehyde and arsenic that causes flu like symptoms a couple of weeks after removal from the system. Not sure how many get sick after quitting those toxic coffin nails, but I imagine the worst is behind you and good things are in your future. I quit almost 6 mos ago and the food is soooo much better and I get less winded from climbing stairs. I find myself wanting to walk distances again. I was a 25yr smoker and tried quitting 3 times, once on patches, once on pills, once cold - none of them worked. Welcome to the vape club!!
