Question about the base...

So I really liked the "airy" draw on my ProTank 1's but hated the mouthpiece. I picked up 2 ProTank 2's this week but I'm not loving the tighter draw. Is the base what controls the airflow? Can I replace the bases of my 2's with my old 1 bases? Will that give me the more "airy" draw I enjoy?

The bases and coils are interchangeable between the PT and PT2 from what I've read ( and have been told )... so try them changing them with their PT counterparts and see if it changes the draw or not... no one has reported it here so I can't say for certain but it would be nice to hear.


The airy draw on the original PT is one issue I see most people complaining about... so I'm happy to see it addressed even though I didn't mind it personally. No matter what draw they end up with, there will always be someone that doesn't like it... lol

Strangely enough, I feel the draw is "airier" on the PTII than on my Vivi Nova. And actually I'm liking it more this way. Feels a bit more natural.

Received mine yesterday, speedy shipping as always.
Works just like the first. The draw seems about the same, ok with me.
The base is the same on both 1 and 2.
But the big advantage for me anyhow.
It accepts my Chrome Skull Head drip tip

OK, I've successfully changed the base of Version 2 with the old one, and they are different bases. I now have the airy draw back that I like. Kanger ProTank II with the old base is the perfect tank for me.

The three air holes on the 510 thread on version two are roughly half the size of the holes on version 1. Version two is much more to my liking.

Got mine today, and it's my first "step up". All of used previously are T3's on my Egos/Visions.

This is the best purchase I've made. A totally different experience with a nice throat hit. Of course, I can't compare it to V1, but I'm loving it so far. Can't wait to get some tips to try.

Question: How much life can expect out of each head?

Good to hear...on life it depends: what kind of juice you are using, what wattage you vape at and some other factors. I tend to like to toss my heads after one week but you can certainly pull them and gently rinse or whatever. I don't bother with that because I have them right here of course and have limited time with all I do - but I have heard of people using Kanger EVOD heads and Pro tank heads for several weeks on end with no major degradation.

Your information is incorrect... ****** doesn't have the PT2 at all. They do show to have the first Protank available in those colors. They also carry a lot of clones/fakes as well... none of those are claiming to be a PT2 yet

Ah yes, sorry, saw it as a new item and didn't realize it was the ProTank I -- didn't even realize the ProTank I's came with colored glass.

Since that isn't GotVapes... and this is the GV forum area... what they or any other vendor carries or not really doesn't apply anyway since it is unrelated to GV itself. Often dealing with other vendors such as ******, you simply can't tell what you are getting until it is in hand... With GV you always know it is exactly what they tell you and they will stand behind it.

Danno has already stated they were getting some color tubes in for the Protank II and that Kanger simply hasn't completed or released them. When GV hears that they are completed and on their way... they will ( usually ) tell us.

Hang in there, we've been informed by Kanger we had our shipment sent this past Thursday or Friday. Hopefully this will include full kits in all colors, plus separate colored tubes plus our Mini Pro Tank II ...

The box on the Protank II says it comes with 1.8 and 2.2 heads, but when I opened the box, both were 2.5ohm! I was so excited, I even stared at the marking under a light for 5 minutes to make sure I saw it right! Great tank so far! Vaping with Backwoods Cola!

I received the PT2 a couple weeks ago and I must say it is by far the best bottom coil unit I have tried to date!!

Any idea when you will receive more colored glass thingies?
