Ok if we had no FDA or something like it, here is what would happen, drugs would not have any testing, would they be safe to take, who knows. Food would have no standards, no safeness, corps would beable to do whatever they want. If the FDA went away so would the knowing that the drugs we take down to that aspririn are safe or not. When I take a drug or eat a food I know 90% that it is what they say it is, the other 10% is because I worked in a pharmacy and know the mistakes and short cuts companies take to save money. Corps arnt into it for your health, they are into for their bottom line. So then they start using short cuts, substandard materials, generics wouldnt be bioequivelent to the parent drug. The factorys, would they be clean for making drugs, food, or whatever they are making. Ever read the Jungle?
Tho this maybe over you head, there is a reason for all of what FDA does, you are becoming a insiter here. Trying to start you own little revolution on EFC. This is getting very old with the post your own little agenda you want everyone to jump on board for.

There is no way the FDA is going to go away. Period. That is almost laughable that you think they will with your little petitions. Think about it. By the way in spanish Viva La means alive.

the FDA is a necessary evil... i wouldnt want to take ANY medication that has not gone through the all the trials to get approved. without a regulatory body we would just be back to buying snake oil with promises to cure everything that ails you.

do i think they are always right? absolutely not. they have their share of failures and corruptions which need to be addressed but you name one organization that doesnt.

i believe they are absolutely wrong with their approach to vaping but that doesnt mean they are ALWAYS wrong.

We already have dangerous and toxic ingredients in our food. We already have dangerous drugs that don't work. Our FDA is corrupt and accountable to no one. We;d all be better off without any protection than with the current FDA. The current FDA gives us a false sense of security. It is corrupt. It should be burned to a crisp.

I have problems with the government also and I dont like the FDA 100% but unlike you I see the value of having them or something like them in place. You are kinda over the top here with the anti-government, this is not a platform for this.

You say drugs are dangerious, tell that to the man that has high blood pressure and relys on his meds to keep him alive. Or tell that to the person that is in pain and relys on a pain killer to just beable to get out of bed.

I can tell you for fact that if we didnt have the FDA in place drugs would be very dangerious to take.

You are an unreasonable and rather uneducated person and this is not the Tea Party forum it is the ECF forum. Many drugs help people considerably and, for example, Hubby can take his thyroid medication being reasonably certain it is going to be the dose it is supposed to be.

We are in a time of change and I realize that many people cannot accept change easily and they react by wearing tin foil hats and hating authority figures.

Food is most certainly safer than it used to be. Pollution levels have gone down in this country. While I do think that government has to be reined in every so often, I prefer to live in a country with a stable form of government.

You are behaving like a troll IMHO with your talk of crying for moderation means losing the debate. Many people on this forum would like this forum to stay relatively nice and thoughtful. You are not contributing to that goal. IMHO

I prefer to live in a country with NO government and NO FDA because government is corrupt and self serving. It is taking from me, not solving any problems, and paying itself. I hate and despise all forms of government worldwide because they are self serving cartels that make life on this planet worse and not better. We are ruled by a stinking king who never had to work at anything. I don't care anymore.
