Can I state here that I find the suggestion that your web browsing has slowed as a result of our buttons to be a little difficult to absorb.

Ever since you added those buttons, the air has gone frigid and the skies have turned grey. Any troubleshooting steps you can provide would be appreciated. I like to try everything I can before I write it off to uncontrollable forces. Like, it could be the cold front coming through. Still want to try....

What happens to me is the ECF page loads right up, but everything is "froze" for a few as the +1 and Like button w/ #'s loads slower. Then once those are loaded, it unfreezes...but this happens everytime I go to a different page or refresh. Every other internet site works as great as always, so it has to be something to do with the buttons. I don't care that they are there, but don't like the "freeze" thing happening every time I try to move around ECF is all. Honestly not trying to be a pian, just passing on feed back. :)

No worries, all of our experiences just help make for a better site, that's all. I would say to try to reset all your settings to default. Go to tools - internet options - advanced tab. Then click the reset to default and/or restore settings button. Could be a change that was made previously doesn't agree with the new buttons. I see stuff like this all the time at work (tech support @ Dell)

If that doesn't work, maybe trying adding ecf to your trusted sites list. Go to tools - internet options - security, click on trusted sites, click sites, uncheck require server authentication (https://) for all sites in this zone, type in e-cigarette-forum.com and then click add and ok your way out. That's another normal fix for this type of issue.

Ooh, that's painful.

I spent years on dial-up, and that was agony. Remember download managers, and auto-reconnect apps that hooked you back up when the ISP disconnected you every two hours when taking all night to download a 2MB file?

Then ISDN, and that was only 2.5 times as fast - but to us it was warpspeed...

You youngsters just don't know how easy you've got it.

Hang on, where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, my mum.

The home/info page is a great idea. I might even click the like button if the buttons were there.

yep! the home/info page could use some buttons!!!!

and we wouldn't see ''waiting for google +1 fast button" while perusing the forum ;)

I just wonder if it would solve the speed problems. My puter still freezes up every time I refresh and/or move to another place. It's really a drag. On my Windows 7 and IE8, it's much slower than it used to be.

Thanks, CES.

Is anyone else getting a pop-up window asking whether you want to navigate away from a page? It warns me that if I do, changes made by the editor (?) will be lost, and demands I click Cancel or OK button. Is this a new feature? Never had that before. It's extremely annoying and, of course, slows me down even more as I'm forced to click more buttons in order to move to another place.... I hope it's just a glitch....
