I'm still in that "almost quit smoking" stage. From 40 a day to 6-8. The other day, I drove for 7 hours without smoking or vaping. I was not anxious, fidgety, or "wanting". That was a good feeling that I did not have when I would chain smoke while behind the wheel.
So I think it will be much easier to stop vaping than it has been to stop smoking. Especially since I haven't totally quit yet!

There is something to be said for that. Honestly driving makes me crazy. To go 7 hours with no nicotine in a car....you should be proud.

yea it is alot easier to stop vaping then smoking vaping does not have all the maoi's that smokes have, the tobacco companys like to keep adding new chemicals to there cigarets to make them more and more addictive, they just find new excuses to add more to them the last one they added was so that the cigarets would put themselves out if no one was puffing on them(small side effect...more addictive then the nic in them)you think the tobacco company cares if you burn your house down? no. they just used it as an excuse to add more addictive chemicals to there product to keep there sales up.

As I understand it the additive (carpet glue???) to put the cigs out was mandated by our wonderful government politicians. It's ok for them to kill themselves smoking but we have to prevent them from burning the house down!!

It took me 45 years to quit smoking, now that I have accomplished that I am perfectly willing to allow myself another 45 years to quit vaping. Before I started vaping I had come to the conclusion that smoking was going to kill me sooner than later. I had heard about e-cigs a few years ago but I wrote them off as a fad or some sort of junk being sold just to rip people off.
I had been desperately wanting to quit smoking for many years but could not. I knew that my health was suffering but until now I didn't know how bad. I had tried patches, gum, trying to cut down by going longer between cigs, cold turkey but nothing lasted more than a month.
Now that I have given e-cigs a chance I realize that I didn't have to put myself through the suffering that I had the previous times I tried to quit . Within 1 day I went from smoking 1.5 PAD to 5 cigs a day and within 7 weeks I had quit smoking totally. I now cannot stand the smell or taste of burning tobacco, and I know without a doubt that I will not go back to smoking.
