Hi guys, I've been vaping Halo Turkish tobacco for years without problem. My buddy recommended Nude Nicotine (NN) base liquid for trying DIY, so I ordered a few bottles. After a few weeks, I developed a rough, dry patch inside my mouth with approximately 80% PG/20VG. Tried NN at 50/50, 80% VG/20%PG, and 100% VG, but the problem persisted. Various nicotine levels, by the way, all under 12mg, 3-12mg.

I posted about it here: Rough patch inside cheek/on inner cheek (oral mucosa) after DIY liquid, PG allergy?

Went back to Halo Turkish 12mg, problem solved. But I want to do DIY...

Anyway, I need a new bulk liquid base supplier. Anybody had a similar problem and found a base that doesn't cause that? Or any general recs for bulk? I've heard Wizard Labs is good. Thanks

I use wizard labs and have been happy with their nicotine. It may be your flavors though. I only glanced at your original thread and didn't see anything about steeping. Some fresh flavors tend to dry my mouth put more. You can also try adding a little marshmellow for a more wet mouth feel. 1 to 3 percent.

Did you try the nicotine flavorless with just pg/VG? If not give that a try. Then you'll know if it's the flavors or not. May also try sampling your VG and pg and see if they give you issue.

Maybe that wasn't long enough to resolve a PG-related or flavoring-related problem. But when I stopped for a weekend, it basically went away. And I was on 100% VG for at least 2 weeks. I was using Flavor Apprentice flavors btw. 10% flavor max.

I guess your next bet is to give wizard labs a try. You could get a small bottle for not too much to try it out. 120 ml is only around 10 bucks I think.

I need a new bulk liquid base supplier.

I use MFS for Nic, PG, and VG. Never had a problem with them. They sell in up to 5 gallon buckets I think.

I get a PG/VG/Nic base from MFS also, and never had a problem with the product or the company's service. I'm not sure what larger quantities are available, I just know there are larger quantities available than what I choose to get.

Thanks Mhertz, but brushing before every vape isn't practical for me since I vape all day. Anyway, I no longer have the problem with the Wiz Labs liquid so far.
Thanks SCG, I checked out the MFS site (which is My Freedom Smokes.com, right?). Am I correct that they don't sell base liquid with nicotine already added? I can't find, say, 100%VG with 12mg/ml like I can at other suppliers. I'd rather not mix in nicotine myself… I prefer minimal "moving parts."

    Yep, that's right.

The 'base' liquid I get there has PG, VG, and Nic mixed together already.
Yeah, mfs I believe has nic from 24mg and up only...
24 mg is the lowest nic level available from the website, but they might mix the level down on request. A 'special order' if you will. If not, it wouldn't be too hard to mix it down to a lower level yourself, just add more VG and or PG to the mix. Distilled water can be used as a 'mix downer' as well I believe. Use the eJuice Me Up calulator, a program that requires downloading and installation on your personal computer. There are many online ejuice calulators too, ecigvape and steam engine come to mind.

After one full week vaping Wizard Labs 100 VG with no flavor, no mouth dryness problems. I'll stick with it for a few more days to make sure, then try it with flavor. Thanks Broodmance. p.s. 12mg nicotine, btw.

Glad your enjoying wizard labs. Your post has convinced me to stick with them too. Why bother with another brand when what I have works great as it is.
