Hey peeps,

2 years, yes 2 whole years I have used 32 gauge and been slightly confused on how you guys get lower ohms because I like throat hit with being a constant lung to mouth.

I have seen all of the videos and could not understand that you were getting sub ohms all the time?!?!?!.

When I looked at the youtube vids (super X Drifter) etc I noticed that the wire was a lot thicker than what I was using and thought that the thicker the wire.... the less ohms you would get!

How stupid am I? I thought that you were all liars in thinking that the thicker the wire means less ohms.

I am currently using 26 gauge and love it at 0.5

what an idiot!

I agree with everyone else, not an idiot at all. If you started with 32g it's all you've known until you discovered other gauges of kanthal :) I would lose 32g and probably find it by it piercing my foot when walking around haha.

i do like 26g or 28g twisted. 0.5 is about my happy range as well, give or take .1 depending on the device.

Look at super x for example, since it's sort of similar. He at first wouldn't do dual coils, he tried it and loves it. At first he thought twisted coils were dumb, now he likes it as well. He said there wasn't a need for a regulated squonker, now he has 2 :p It's about trying new things and seeing if you like it or not. This was me and a Reo. I never thought I'd like squonking back in January. Russ convinced me to try it and I'm still using mine today, *break in typing* I mean still using mine at this moment of typing ;)

NOT an idiot, as others have said! Think back, all of us think back right now, to when we first began vaping. Like Rob said 0 knowledge. Think about what we have learned, and gained, as individuals on this road. Chrissy looked at me last night. She said "it amazes me all you've learned as a direct result of vaping." She said that during a conversation about microfiber cloths. Her point was, think about all the things you've learned about...batteries, electrical connections and how to maintain them, electrical currents, conducive materials, properties of various woods, waxes (I now wax all the wooden furniture regularly as a result of my woodvil lol), microfiber cloths (we never used them and may begin using them for a huge variety of purposes around the house), and the list keeps going on. It's also fair to say I know a lot more about smoking than I did when I smoked.

Point being that it is an amazing hobby which is very educational for those who become enthusiasts on any level. And the variety of things I've learned on the road to a better vape have had impacts on other areas of my life. I imagine that's true for many of us here, if we stop and think about it.

Pardon the language, but I just :censored: LOVE vaping.

Yea, wire resistance can be compared to highways. The more lanes the better traffic can flow (thick wire less resistance), the fewer lanes, the more stopped up traffic becomes(thin wire more resistance)....you made a common mistake. It is a very counter intuitive concept.

Truth be told, we don't know what "Russ" is short for. Could be "Russian".

I think it's "Russian" (he knows too much about hockey for an american). Let's call him "Russian".

Russian (Russell) has learned as much as you guys from you guys and girls :toast:

And has a third regulated mod on the worx. But he (Russ / Russell / Russian / Rustafarian) will always have REOs mods because they will never let ya down and are always ready rock.

But yes, things change at a pretty rapid pace at times but one thing that never changes is my love for squonking.
