Got my Grand's back and built an RM2 with 32 gauge kanthal wire with 7 wraps and nearly choked to death it was so strong. Made another with 12 wraps and it still is far too strong with loads of throat hit and very little vape clouds. They showed 1.2 and 1.8 ohms built.

With these new contacts do I now have to change to a thicker wire or am I doing something wrong?

With what your wrapping, I'd think you would be fine. In My Personal Experience.....I have to push the coil down close to the deck. If I have it raised, I get a harsh hit. I move it down, and all is well. I know a lot like to raise it to about the air hole height but that doesn't work for me. ....something to try. :)

Make sure the hole on you rm2 cap faces your coil. If its not in the right position, it will give you these kind of hits.

OMG!!! you are right!!! The tops of the RM2's must have been changed over when they went in to Reoville for a service, well done you, I owe you a beer :)

Another Reoville win. Love this place.

I wish my work day was so constructive.
