I still have my first set of asymmetrical coils in nuppin. Just rewick once a week and keep on going. They've been in there since November wow!
Here are my asymmetrical twisted 28s at .51 on 2mm mandrel iirc
Asymmetrical definitely the way to go. This build hits almost as hard as my .31 dual 26g in my rm4[emoji1] but smoother and wetter.

Yeah the Reos have got me twisting wire again, something I had stopped doing along with all the crazy coil builds some time ago in the interest of KISS. But with everything else so easy with the Reos, a little extra time with builds that make a noticeable improvement are worth doing.

Well I managed to score a gen 1 and man does this atty rock! Now I need to get Robert to mod one of my now dead VV Grands for Lo-Pro so I can try my hand at modding it for a DNA30 board. I really loved my VV Grands and still have "The White Whale" GITD VV Grand that sees almost zero use. However, I do miss the regulated night-time vape of the past couple of years and a kayfun or similar tank on a regulated box mod is just not getting it. Bring on the Nuppin with a beautiful Silver Vein LP VV Grand sporting a DNA30. Now that would be a combination to brag about...

Doubt it. You are (or soon will be) a dual twisted coil man. For my money, the chalice won't keep up with the Nup' (or Derringer or Freakshow mini) for overall richness. That said, it's a darn fine single coil MTL flavour machine.
I am currently running twisted single coil builds on one of my 14500 Woodvil's and a 18490 Woodvil, and in one of my VAC's on a '650 Woodvil. It might be just the ticket to put my Mini 2.1 back into service though (after I get it a haircut and stripped back to a TRA finish that is). Can't afford to give up any of my 4 LP Grands to it right now (a bridge that will be crossed with mech Woodies or more LP Grands as needed after the wood sale). It never ends...

Sweet unit but I can't let my VV Grand go to the parts bin without trying to resurrect her with an integrated DNA30. I've seen at least one done to perfection and I really don't care about cost if I can reproduce that effort. My VV Grand in white GITD will be kept untouched...She's quite nice with an RM2. Brew

So was able to get a nuppin of the classifieds, and a second one coming. I know the v2s are gonna be out soon, but after getting to use the first one I think I like the lip being on there to stop the top cap.
First try able to get a good single coil build at 1.08 ohms, airflow opened to about 1/3rd. Lovin the nuppin. Hopefully will be able to pick up one or 2 more off the classifieds.

Kinda what I am hoping. Figure I can wait a week or two and if I don't see any, maybe at a better price point, then I'll just get one or 2 more of the v2s.
