I had always believed that while I was certainly addicted to nicotine, it was the comforting regular hand to mouth, deep inhale, and nice slow exhale that truly had me hooked on smoking. I had been smoking 1.5 PAD for 25 years. This is worse than just being addicted to nicotine, I believe. A few days of horrible suffering, and one is no longer technically addicted to nicotine, but the other stuff is not so easy to overcome. Anyway, my experience with vaping has proven that my initial belief about my particular addiction was absolutely accurate. I am now vaping almost exclusively zero nicotine juices. I still have some in 4 and 6 mg, but I don't ever NEED to use it, I just continue to fill a few cartos with it, so I don't waste it, and the only juice I purchase now is Zero nic. Yet, I still vap very frequently. In fact, my PV is pretty much always either in my pocket or my hand, even when I am not actually vaping. I am not sure what this says about me, but bring on the security blanket and the pacifier, I can breathe, smell, and taste again!

I dropped from 24mg to 18mg one time and while I didn't actually crave nicotine I did notice that I started thinking about how "great" cigarettes were throughout the day...

the "yummy" smell.. that first cig of summer with an iced mocha.. the after dinner smoke.. smoking in my teenage years..

Just random thoughts throughout the day. Scared the crap out of me so I went back up to 24mg and the thoughts went away.
