I started vaping on Cinco de Mayo, haven't even wanted an analog. For some reason, I have been carrying my wonderful 'ol leather cigarette case and ciggies in my handbag everywhere I go, kinda like a security blanket. Over the weekend, I left the ciggies at home several times when I went out, first for a short trip and then for about 6 hours.

Well, I'm done with that. I just threw out my ciggies and case. Two and a half years ago, I quit smoking for 3 months, and I still couldn't bring myself to get rid of that case.

It's in the trash now, and I'm not looking back, didn't even feel bad about it when I saw my beautiful eGo and thought of my growing e-juice collection. Now I'm gonna reward myself by vaping some red velvet cheesecake, yummy!! I'm free!! :D

Great job! I quit for Lent.:nun: Was afraid once the season was over, I'd be tempted to go back. My kids were so happy I quit and so supportive, I just couldn't stand the thought of disappointing them. Plus, the vaping made quitting so much easier.

Keep up the good job! You don't need that cigarette case. But maybe get yourself a snazzy vape stick case. One of my kids made me a vape box for mother's day, complete with cardboard holders to hold my E-juice and vape sticks.

Congrats. I quit smoking cigs 2 months ago, mainly for financial reasons. I was out of a job for a couple of months, and I found myself buying cigs every day, and occasionally feeding myself. I noticed that if I bought a kit, it would be cheaper than a pack of cigarettes. I went a month on the vape, without a single craving for a cigarette. I bought a pack a couple of weeks ago, and I can't remember why. I think it was because I misplaced my battery charger. I smoked that pack in a day, and never bought them again. The old side effects of smoke started to return right away, then I realized what a blessing I had in front of me. Keep up the good work.

Thanks all. What a wonderful supportive group! I knew all of you would understand. To have placed such importance on throwing away my ciggies and case would have been hard to explain to someone who's never smoked. They just don't get how we have had to live our lives sooo dependant on those ciggies.

I am making a new case and lanyard for Hubby and I from some leather pieces I just bought. I have a seamstress background and now a jewelry designer, and I have quite a few pieces of leather in lots of colors. If the lanyard comes out well, I may make some to sell.

My4jewels, you are so right about that. A lot of non smokers only view us as evil people. Nearly all people I've read posts from have kicked the cigarette habit, and talk about how great they feel now that they're not smoking anymore. I feel great now that I've quit smoking. Yet, I still see the anti smoking people getting all high and mighty about ecigs. Really? All these years they've wanted us to quit, now they have to say that these things encourage us to keep smoking, when it couldn't be further from the truth.
