Harvard Medical School Professor Marcia Angell told the Boston Globe several years ago that her 20-year editorship of the New England Journal of Medicine taught her that not even the country’s most prominent medical authorities are reliable. Cambridge Chief Public Health Officer Claude-Alix Jacob’s recent memo regarding electronic cigarettes confirms Dr. Angell’s skepticism. There is little in the memo that is accurate.
