So first of all hello. Im kinda new to the e-cigs I've been smoking em but I'm not 100% pleased with the ones I own. So for any other newbs out there I'll list what I've had and its pros and cons.

First of all is started on a gamucci disposable e-cig after the local gas station got em in stock, I liked it so I bought the starter kit. the Gamucci is not exactly what I would call a good model at all, the batteries hold up well enough 2 or 3 will get a moderate-heavy smoker through a day of work cause of course I hit my e-cig every chance I got, cause hey it was awesome, all the benefits of smoking and non of the harm. Came to find out in no time at all the atomizer went out. I bought another one, the atomizer died on day one. The lesson here my experience with Gamucci was rubbish.

So next the local tobacco outlet gets Njoys in so I buy the starter kit the atomizer burned out in the first week, I was not happy, BUT they got the cartridge atomizer things in pretty quickly and that solved that problem. I like my NPro with the cartomizer is that the right word? It gets the job done, but its not perfect, the throat hit feels a touch harder than it should be. Well after a while I wound up being the only customer for those things so they didnt keep a heafty stock but small businesses are great in that they will keep an item in stock for just one person as long as i kept buying, of course shortly afterwards more people picked up on em, they couldn't keep my cartridges in stock, desperate I bought some cheapo 24 dollar piece of junk called a 21st century at the local gas station. Not the worst model I've ever had the cartridge has a crappy life span as a moderate smoker (bout half a pack to a pack a day) I get about maybe a days worth of life out of the cartomizers for the 21st century, the good news though the 21st century cartridges are compatable with the gamucci batteries and since I had 4 of those laying around I was no hard pressed for batteries, just had to dig em out of the drawer and charge em up and I was set to go. but the 21st century cartomizers are terribly overpriced, for 10 bucks I get 3, compared to 14 dollars to get 5 for my Npro. But still the Npro cartridges get really hot especially when they get low, and ive seen the plastic casing start to actually get hot enough to melt on a couple of occasions so that raises health concerns and quality concerns. My 21st century cartridges actually do a better job, but their life span isnt as good. so I suppose its time to look for a new model, and see what I can learn. now I dont know jack about all the model numbers and stuff I see everyone talking about, its all gibberish to me. But I do know I got a couple Njoy batteries, and 4 batteries for gamucci and 1 battery for 21st century which apperantly is the same type gamucci uses save for a few minor details such as it uses a diffrent charger, and I havent found any measures in it to preserve the lifespan of the product by cutting me off for a few seconds if I hit on it too much or draw for too long like the Npro and Gamucci had. So Im seeking an education on all those fancy model names and some recommendations for some good models. Or heck I already got some batteries if anyone knows what model Npro and Gamucci use let me know where I can buy better cartridges

Welcome TheHoochCow. There's tons of good info here on different models etc. I will say personally after using a couple different auto batteries I was about ready to give it up. I highly recommend a manual ego tank for it's ease of use and versatility. I often use the batts with my low resistance (lr) 510 atty's (atomizers) good luck hope you find what works for you

You need to buy better models with manual batteries. Autos are more likely to have short cutoffs because they can accidentally turn on in wind or vibration so it's a safety feature.

If you like 2-piece models i recommend KR808D-1 manual (LiteCigUSA.net) or the fancier kits at Vapor4Life.com which are also KR808D-1, the most supported and recommended 2-piece here. it is the 2-piece supported for new styles of blank cartos etc. I use soft-cap cartos and add juice to them when the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry. I can get 4-7 days out of a carto.

BTW - Njoy Npro is an RN4081 and you can get a manual battery at AZSmokeFree.com.

I've used manual and autos, I like the convenience of auto I have this terrible habit of holding the cig in my mouth balancing it between my upper teeth and bottom lip and vaping while I play xbox plus I haven't dealt with refilling carts or cartridge-atomizers yet so I haven't experienced the problem of juice dripping into my battery and breaking it. A manual is nice though because I have seen the problem of the autos turning on from heavy vibration or getting dropped, its never caused me any real trouble its more of a WTF moment when I see it turn on when its not in my mouth. But of course with a manual I couldn't have both hands free, which I greatly enjoy being able to do. One thing I'm curious about is if anyone knows exactly what the model is on the brands I do have.

Gamucci Micro (which I've found was a piece of crap with decent battery life)
and the Njoy Npro (which I've found is a decent model with sub-par battery life.)

Hello Hooch. Welcome to ECF.

1) Don't throw out any spare parts that you have - unless it is really 'toast'. Why? Since you don't mention separate juice purchases, my suggestion would be that you should try that, i.e. refilling of the cartridges. A lot cheaper. Hopefully you don't mind using web-sales as well. Most trade is done via the web. If you are lucky, some ECF supplier stores may be in your proximity.

2) Hopefully some of the other ECF'ers will post you the (best) choices available for the newcomers... and which cartridges could possibly fit your batteries. I'm not very good at that.

3) Else - have a look around at the posts and the suppliers websites and maybe get inspired. Eventually, most vapers will go from "mall-type" equipment to other models..... Rule of thumb: The bigger the battery, the more consistent vape you'll get. And do take a look at "manual" batteries (with a button to press) rather than automatic. The manual one's are preferrable in the long run.

Thanks Dormouse I didnt see your post right away, you must have replied as I was typing my last post. Tell me would you also happen to know what model the Gamucci Micro and 21st Century Smoke use. I know the Gamucci Batteries work on 21st century atomizers and cartos (and vise versa) which is nice since I picked up a 21st century after the local tobacco outlet had trouble restocking my Npro Duo Cartos, Damn 21st century starter kits only came with 1 battery, but it makes a good backup model that I can get cartos for without having to order online
Side Note -- Ive heard of people having problems with the 21st century brand e-cigs breaking after a short time, so far Ive had no problems but its just a back up for when I need to vape and the tobacco outlet isnt carrying my npro cartos. I've only had it 2 days, so far no trouble except for the cartos not lasting as long, but at least they dont burn as hot as Npro which was my big drawback on npro
