In that photo it looks like the threaded holes go all the way through the post.

Yeah, I got mine from Wet Vapes last week...I'm assuming this was the first batch and the holes do go all the way through. I'm using 24ga mostly with kanthal builds and it hasn't been as issue...yet.

The OBS Crius did turn up today :D

Turned up clean, didn't smell of oil or anything, so just gave it a quick wash and got to building, used 26 gauge and had no problems fitting the wire through the holes, wish they had done a velocity posts though, but with the post holes being small, wasn't to hard keeping the 1st coil in place while mounting the 2nd. Wicking was simple, just cut at a angle and gently push the cotton down the juice channels.

I am mostly a MTL vapor and is working fine for me at 35watts with airflow closed right down, but also tested lung hits too, went up to 50 watts and was blowing some decent clouds, didn't try pushing it anymore though, but for people who like clouds, think this will pass the test :)

Only had the Crius just over a hour, but so far I am loving this one, flavor is awesome, easy to fill, I used dropper bottle and had no problems filling with it, and not seen a drop of juice from the airflow, still has to pass the re-fill test yet, but if it passes that, then I am going to jump to get a 2nd one, really think OBS has a winner here, oh and I found it 50/50 with drip tips, some fitted, some didn't, was happy my black one fitted fine to go with the tank :)

Nailz that looks like the base of a dripper instead of an RTA. Sure you can't rock it single coil?

Oh great, another good one. Clever design features that actually work. It's an embarrassment of RTA riches these days. And an embarrassment of expenditures on my part.

West Pole. I feel your pain. I bought the Billow V2 Nano expecting GREATNESS but couldn't get any flavor out of it at least the way I like to vape even closing the airflow of the Billow V2 Nano to a MTL hit.

Thinking on buying this tank. Has any one done a single coil build with 24guage around 7 wraps?

Thanks.

Would like to know that myself.

Every picture I see looks like the base of an RDA.

May leak out the airflow with just one coil. I REALLY REALLY prefer a single coil build.

No problem :). If you want to, grab a few things, and I'll repackage to one box.
You're a good egg Roxy.

I will always remember how you came through when Jim lost his Kayfun Nano chimney. You tossed in other stuff and with some pieces I made a Kayfun gift for a friend in Oregon that is strictly a MTL Vaper.

I wish they offered a single coil deck too. Hope they offer one, but not holding my breathe.

Only other thing I didn't like was the stock drip tip, but that was an easy fix. I changed it out with a black teflon drip tip. Love teflon drip tips. Doesn't get cold outside in the winter temps and doesn't collect lip gunk like other tips.

Ok mine is the v2 and I have kinda a stupid question. In one of the videos I watched the guy mentioned bubbles from all 4 holes. Don't know why that stuck in my head but, I don't notice that on mine. Don't have dry hit issues (until I wear out my wick lol) but has anyone paid attention to this. I notice 1 or 2 holes bubbling during regular use.

Now I am using an Orchid so this may be worth what you paid for it.

The Orchid has four juice wells and often see bubbles from two of them but I have two of the juice wells plugged with cotton.

So I started building the black Crius this morning and getting the juice flow off of the deck was a challenge. I got it off and gave it a bath and went to put it together and the JC was binding. Gave it a quick once over and found that their hole press was creating a dimple when punching the holes.

Crappy picture but you'll see what I mean. Both of my black tanks have the same issue, they most come off of a different line than the SS. This isn't a reseller issue, it was damn hard for me to see the imperfection. I did tear up the deck a little trying to figure it out. I have reached out directly for the distributor and I'm curious to see what they have to say based on their sites quality promise.

We have a professional inspection management system. For incoming materials inspection to all process strict inspection before shipment. Each production line at least equipped with five inspectors, and do a regular skill training to all employees.

Tried finding dimples in mine but can't see them (v2). I'll inspect better at next rebuild. The only thing I noticed on mine is the juice holes don't line up exactly. Doesn't seem to cause an issue but the deck holes seem slightly lower than the housing. Basically I can see the top of the deck holes through the housing holes. Makes it look more oval than round.

Oh, yes, great QC  How do they explain the 2 that other member got where the juice holes were off 1/8-1/4 inch? Yikes.

Sorry that happened, Marc.

Love everything about the v3. I think their quality control is something to be disired. If you look at the pic there is a gap on one side between the afc ring and the ring closest to the glass. I get minor leakage from that area. I think it's a common problem and no one notices the uneven gap. Every now and then I the afc ring becomes hard to turn so might be an internal o-ring issue.

Thanks Noodle, we'll see how it pans out. It has to be a drag for the resellers when things like this happen because they normally have to deal with the fallout.

This time I want to see how the manufacture is going to deal with the defect and will post their response. We'll see if the hold to their quality promise.

Most of us said we were impressed with OBS response to cunsumers in the quick redesigning. But I could see the quick retooling causing qc issues in their plant. I'm curious to hear their response and how quickly it comes.

HTR, once (or if) I get a reply I will post it right away. I'm also curious to see how they will handle the QC problem.

Everyone think I should now hold off on purchasing a Crius until these issues are addressed or go for it and get it from Wetvapes who seem to be pretty good with their customer service and standing behind their product?

Jeremy, I picked these up from Wet Vapes and I can say from personal experience I think they are one of the better online retailer I purchase from on the net. They have stood behind everything I have purchased from them and their staff is always courteous and friendly. When you call they even answer their phone :) I've asked them to open items and inspect them and without hesitation they have done in house QC.

I'm at the point where I don't want to be a PITA for a supplier that has been outstanding and has always taken care of me. At what point to you hold the manufacturer accountable? For me it's now!

Like Roxy I own a couple tanks and theirs when the quality is correct is a pretty damn good tank. I was going to pick up a couple more, a friend boosted one from me (need a replacement) and I wanted to give a couple as Christmas presents. We'll see if I go back to the well if they don't make this right.
