In case any one
Yesterday after a rebuild I did get a few dry hits if basically chain vaping. Never had the issue before. Alot here have discussed seepage if the build is too low. In my case when I rebuilt I had the coils a bit too high. Once I lowered it a bit the dry hits stopped. I figure the tails were a bit too long and couldn't bring the juice up quick enough. I'm posting this so maybe it will help someone else out. The wicking is very forgiving but seems the coil placement not so much.
Similar thing happened to me, had a couple dry hits chain vaping and trimmed the wick a bit and has been just fine ever since. I did adjust the coil just a bit as well, been wicking like a champ since.

More clones showed up on FT today for a cheaper price than the first clone ta boot.
Different clone maker? The new posted have different packaging. The new ones posted only have colored glass, no clear and the included parts are different. The new ones have spare o-rings and screws, but no spare glass, the first one posted has spare glass, but no spare rings and screws. Of course, no black tank yet either. o_O

Very eager to see some reviews on these clones.

Ya I noticed there was no extra glass so was thinking that's why it's a little cheaper but idk....

I read of people sticking something in the juice fill holes to get more torque but be careful cause someone bent the lip on the juice fill hole by doing this also.
Hi guys. Any tips on disassembling the Crius? I find it hard to get a grip sometimes to remove the top parts (top fill, glass and barrel area).

i used a rubber glove. placed my rubber gloved right hand index finger in the glass tube and thumb pushing, while twisting with the bare left hand fingers and unscrewed. i hope that helps.

What kind of build do you use for MTL? Is it TC? I've been building TC lately and it's been working good for straight lung hits, but my wife likes a MTL and I'm not having any luck building one for her in TC. Any ideas?

No, I started getting into TC, but went back to Kanthal after a few months- still like to play about with it, especially SS with the DNA200, but like Kanthal cos it just works without fiddling! Hmm, at the moment i've got dual claptons in the Crius- 26AWG with 32AWG 5 wraps, 2.5 ID comes to about 0.4 ohms dual coil- I like a fairly cool vape and find the only issue with claptons is that the heat quickly ramps up- vape this build at around 20-25w.

I also like using twisted Kanthal these days- 30AWG 2 strand, 7 wraps 2.5 ID comes to about 1.3 ohms single coil, so dual would be around 0.7 which would be ideal in my opinion for MTL...

I went through this topic basically each and every one. I am unsure if i did get it right but it seems the authi crius from fasttech shipped with inconsistent cracked insulator. Does anyone has any experience with gearbest?

Am trying my luck to order from the source that come with not cracked insulator.

All mine are ok and came from wetvapes. And with US seller can get replaced on the off chance you get a cracked one.

WetVapes has done an outstanding job handling all the quality issues with this tank. Their customer service group is friendly, professional and extremely helpful.

The just sent me a replacement chimney for one of my Black one's that had problems. It appears they use a punch to make the holes for the juice flow and someone misfired when popping the holes.

I contacted them, spoke to Raj (incredibly helpful) and my chimney's are in the mail.

What to have consumer insurance, pick them up from WetVapes.

I don't recall if I've said this already. There is a lot to like about the Crius in terms of features. Initially I didn't think the flavor was as good as a Cthulhu v1. I still use 4 of those. But I vape the Crius when I am at home. I don't know, after all this time I think the Crius has better flavor than I initially credited it for. I would say that the flavor is nearly as good as a Cthulhu v1. It certainly produces more vapor than a Cthulhu around 50w. And drinks more. I like mine. I'd buy another.

Where can I sell one of mine? I have two white ones V3.

I got a Black Crius V3 from Wet Vapes about a month ago and only tried it once, it really leaked like crazy on me and havent attempted to build on it again. I remember the ORings being extremely thin and also the leaking was primarily coming from the juice flow adjustment at the bottom... The deck is also smaller than I was expecting but I really like the top fill and the big air holes on the side.

I read in this thread somewhere back that others have tried using some non stock ORings and that helped with the leaking? At any rate if someone could explain some rules of thumb I need to know to get this tank functional and to a non leaking state that would be very much appreciated.

You know all those really popular heavy rubber wrist bands you can get supporting all sorts of things.. well THOSE work great for taking tanks apart... I have one at my office and one at home.. just for tanks.... gives just enough grip without having to worry about breaking the glass or damaging threads.. Just a suggestion... Also once I do get any tank apart.. I just use finger pressure when putting them back together... very rarely do I need to use the rubber band more than a couple times... but it really does work and wont scratch or damage anything.
Happy Vaping

Mine just arrived today. It's the V3 with the velocity stacks. Gonna give it a good washing and do a build for it later this week. Wil let you know how it turns out. Cheers.
Well just an update... I LOVE IT... been using it every day.. had the slight juice leak around the black bottom section.. raised the coils just a bit and put a wee bit more cotton than normal thru the coils and into those wicking holes and bam no more problems. I did two coils.. both are on 3mm jig 26ga kanthal... 7 wraps.. comes in just under .5 ohms and this thing vapes like a champ at 27 watts and gives total awesome flavor. I was getting some semi dry... slightly burnt type hits.. so took it apart.. removed the wicks.. I use cotton bacon... put a little bit more than I thought I should use... trimmed the ends so they went into the drip holes and poof.. pure vaping pleasure. ALSO.. .mind to keep the cotton flush with the outside of the holes when assembling... if you have a bunch sticking out.. when you turn the tank to shut off the flow.. the outer area will pull little bits of cotton out the hole and actually trim it off... doesn't really hurt anything but you end up with little white tufts of cotton floating in your tank.
Happy Vaping
Cheers

Does anyone know the height of this compares to kanger subtank mini? From what it's published, subtank mini is at 65mm tall with drip tip where as obs crius is 68 (it didnt state if it is including the driptip measurement). Anyone care to post a picture of both for comparison?
