Ok great. I am just beginning with mods (as you can see I was trying to use a mech with a tank, cherrybomber of all mechs.) Is there a cheap one you recommend I could start out with, (that is not a mech?) I don't need very many settings. Also, to be more specific, I think I shorted the 510 connector on the OBS which makes me think it is donzo.

Last question. Would either of these work with OBS without the 510 convertor? (Sorry noob question I know.)

Yeah, the OBS has a 510 connection, those devices have a 510 connection. Shouldn't be an issue.

You detached the Cherry Bomber 510 pin from the 510 connection on the OBS right?

Yeah I got it off. Tried ripping it with my 510 pen after I changed coil and it wont work. Makes the lights flash on one of the styles of pen. Then on another style the light stays solid but Im not getting any sort of draw. Wondering if that short effed the whole thing up. Dont see how it could unless the pens just can't handle it. Was thinking about putting it on the Cherrybomb for ONE rip once I get my batteries just to make sure the OBS still works before I commit to buying it.

Just ordered the sigelei. On second thought I will just wait for that to test out the tank so that I am not made $10 poorer and risk blowing a limb off.

Definitely a good call. I don't trust those Cherry Bomber things. The [few] owners I know of are pretty enthusiastic about them, but most people see it as a safety hazard more than a reliable device, and rightfully so: I've heard some very close calls from the 510 pin dropping into the casing or the battery sled being too tight.. etc.. There are better, safer, more reliable devices out there, and they're not all that expensive.
