Simply put, my throat constantly has a burning sensation when vaping.
I own an itasteVV, as well as an Ego Ctwist. On top of both of them, I use my BCC Mega cartomizer, which has a 2.5Ohm head installed, or the long wick tank that came with my egoc. It does not matter which juice I use, it doesn't matter if it is a 50/50 split, and it doesn't matter which volts I'm running. After 2-3 hits, my throat has a lingering burning sensation that makes my vapes non-enjoyable. Is there any particular reason for this? This has also happened a few times when using a friends glass tank. I don't know if it is something I am doing, or something wrong with my setups. I'm mainly using a 50/50 mix of Cherry Limeaid from High Caliber.

If anyone can help me, I will hug you.

I tried some elimination processes, hence the BCC Mega Tank. I had bought an offbrand glass tank with my itaste, and it was horrible. Leaking everywhere, constant flooding. So I bought the BCC, and it started burning my throat with the first few hits of my cream soda flavor. Then I thought it might be my itaste, so I got the Egoc. Same thing, with a COMPLETELY new setup. I just don't understand it. I'm using mainly flavors called LUSH. No PG/VG readings on them.

I've been vaping for roughly a month now.

I've tried:
New Tanks/Clearomizers
Entirely new battery; itasteVV>Egoc
New heads; 1.5Ohm/2.2Ohm/2.5Ohm

Flavors inconsistently give the same effect. My banana flavors don't have nearly as harsh of a hit, but my darker liquids are by far the worst for the burning.

Hi

I'm a little confused. Are all these liquids from the same manufacturer? Is so the most likely have commonalities - the same sweetener, the same PG etc. - no matter what the flavor.

If the liquids are high in PG you just may not be drinking enough fluids to compensate which can give some people dry mouth/sore throat problems.

Or one more possibility: You just quit smoking recently. Some people who quit smoking can develop sore throat problems without even touching vaping. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/health-safety-e-smoking/3305-list-symptoms-when-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

I'm vaping all 12mg nics.

Most of my liquids ARE from the same manufacturer; LUSH ejuices. I have picked up a few other manufac. liquids and it is the same thing.
I never thought about that. I did just quit smoking. I will look over the list.

Is there a particular vendor you suggest buying from? I'm buying from a local shop here right now, and they hardly have any flavors.

The problem with be is the only vape shop I know of carries only these LUSH products, and they don't label the VG/PG content. I went to a headshop that had about 6 flavors and that is where I got the 50/50 split limeaid. But it was a dingy little place I wouldn't go back to.

What exactly is the difference between PG/VG?

I will try lowering myself down to 6mg. I smoked 1 PaD/1 1/2 packs, and the vape shop said smoking 2-3ml of 12mg would be my best bet. Does it sound like this shop knows what they're talking about?

Try mouth inhaling instead of lung inhaling for a while. Suck the vapor in like you suck a milkshake through a straw. Then either blow it back out through your mouth or your nose. Give your throat a break. You will absorb nicotine through the tissue in your mouth and it might even taste better.

I was just going to ask the about how you're inhaling. Sounds like maybe you're doing it too hard and/or taking lung hits. Right technique but too hard could mean that you're getting dry hits. Those burn. Lung hits are also not for the faint of heart.

I would say that's the first thing to adjust, then start looking at juices if it's still happening. Also, don't forget to sip water--a lot.

I vape exactly how I smoked. I take a drag, inhale it and blow it out. Should I try smoking it like a hookah? Take a drag and blow out immediately? Is that the "CORRECT" way to vape?

Always drinking water and eating ice. It is like a hobby of mine LOL

Water is good. The problem is both PG and Vg are hygroscopic so they dry you out.

When you switch from vaping to smoking you do go through a sort of "insult to injury" phase. Things need to heal from years or decades of smoking, and you throw something foreign (not necessarily bad, just new) at your body at the same time. Some people can and do lung inhale the same way they smoked. I sure as hell couldn't when I started and it took me a good month to un-learn everything I used to do when I smoked. I was a deep lung inhaler when I smoked and let's just say that wasn't working so well for vaping. See here for a viewpoint on the technique issue. => http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/337017-inhalation-technique-e-cigarette.html

You can always switch it up and try lung inhaling any time you want but when you start approaching this more like smoking a cigar is a good idea. I never went back to lung inhaling and don't miss it.
