Lemme tell you a story...

When I was still a smoker, a friend of mine had been successfully not smoking via ecigs. Coincidentally, I already owned one, basic 'smoke shop' setup starter kit, but after first vape I put it in a drawer and never looked back. My friend, jer, said 'it's all about quality of juice and hardware. My juice was bought with the kit from smoke shop, 24 mgs. Well, I got same taste you're describing. Did a lot of browsing, research, tried 6 mg. wow! Way better...however still get it, mildly bit get it none the less. So got some 0mg nic...don't get it. Depending on my mood, or if/what I'm snacking on/drinking. Dabble between 6 and 0.

You oh should give it a shot...what's the worst that can hhappen?

Moral of the story...if I were you, I'd get a lower nic juice.

Just sayin.

What exactly is the difference between PG/VG?

Do you mean on the level of all the chemical/composition/technical stuff? See here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/177551-pg-vg-peg.html

I will try lowering myself down to 6mg. I smoked 1 PaD/1 1/2 packs, and the vape shop said smoking 2-3ml of 12mg would be my best bet. Does it sound like this shop knows what they're talking about?

Honestly? That was a stab in the dark at a wild guess. There are no firm rules to this issue as there seems to be a pretty wide range in the amount of nicotine different people absorb from vaping. It isn't a bad guess, but that's all it is. You could take two people with the same 2 PAD smoking profile and one of them might be bowled over by a 24 mg nic level while the other person finds that even 24 mg isn't enough. Finding a suitable nic level - one that gets you through cravings without giving you nic OD issues - is a highly personal matter.

I'm still looking for some good online vendors with high regards. I want to find a place with some actual quality to their juices.

Jacksonville is very large - but if you have access to Murray Hill area check out Blackhat. It was a nice shop and they will mix you flavors in addition to their flavor bar. I know if you live in certain parts of the city this may be more than an hour away, but if it is accessible - I found the folks there to be great when I had to go down on an emergency and barely took any gear with me in a rush. The prices are also very comparable to online shops. 10ml bottles are only 4.95 :)

I've pretty much tried them all...err, maybe not ALL cause there's a .... ton, but A LOT....so far, THE VAPOR ROOM has been my no fail go-to juice vendor. And they have killer deals with the flavor of the week and weekender juice deals. I very highly recommend.

http://http://www.thevaporroom.net/flavorsofweek.html this weeks flavors of the week(my all time favorite juice at the moment is cake batter) 30ml only $10!!!!!

Juice quality, cust service, shipping...all stellar. AND first time customers get a free 15ml bottle of any juice!

Just a word of caution on pay day here: Whenever you are trying liquids from a new vendor stick with small sample sizes and even then, don't order 30 of them from the same place. Especially in your case as you are still trying to figure some things we have been covering here.

There is nothing worse than seeing someone get 30 bottles all from a new place - or big bottles - and finding out they don't like any of it because all the flavors have something in common: A taste in the PG, VG or nic base you find you don't like, alcohol in the flavorings as a carrier, you got the nic level wrong, or the vendor's flavoring level is too weak - or too strong for you.

It's too easy to go overboard on the first few liquids orders. Try to keep it down to no more than a half dozen sample sizes from any new place.

I'd say try a 70%VG 30% distilled water juice a lot of people have problems with even 50/50 juice. As a matter of fact theres a few former vapers at my wifes work who went back to smokes for that very reason. The local B+M only sells 50/50 juice and inspite of my attempts to convince him otherwise he refuses to make any other base. Personally I DIY the VG and distilled water and don't have throat problems.
