Odd taste

All of a sudden, i'm getting this odd taste from my 510. I use carts. Its not like a burnt or plastic taste, just like the flavor is dulled. I use Newport liquid and i'm used to that menthol bite when i take a hit, but i'm not getting it. If i put a drop or two on top of the filler or on the atty, i get the right taste back for a hit or two, but then its back to dull. I figured maybe the cart is getting dry, i use the spring mod, but its half full of liquid, and the filler at the top is near soaking(1 drop added makes it overflow almost). Anyone have an idea whats happening?

I have some SmartCarts otw from liberty-flights right now, hopefully those will fix all my cart problems(my mods leak, signifigcantly, doesnt matter if its Zero-fill, Straw, or Spring mods, they leak.) Ordered a drip tip also, just in case.

Have you tried fluffing your cartridge filler? It may not be touching the bridge in the atty, therefore it's not wicking.

Still getting plenty of vapor? If so, you may have hit that point where your taste buds are bored with that flavor...so-to-speak. Perhaps try another flavor. Also changing the pH in your mouth can sometimes help. Maybe some water with lemon will help. Just a couple ideas...hopefully something will help.

Could be, Newport is all i have right now, though should be getting about 5 other flavors in the mail sometime this week.

Didn't even realize the pH could be a prob, thanks for letting me kno tho, will deff try that.


And as far as fluffing the poly goes, ill try but i dont think thats it, the way i have it set up with the spring it presses the poly into the atty lightly.
