I really don't find the gap all that extreme... I also don't get any leaking by screwing the base down first, flush with the cap - then screwing the pole in to meet the battery connection. One thing I DO do, however, is I insert the ceramic/housing into the base with the o-ring resting in the little notch, at the bottom of the pole. This forces the Ody base to push the o-ring up as you screw in the ceramic (rather than pushing the o-ring all the way up, and bringing it down to the base as you screw it in)

I did try adding a second identical o-ring on the pole, but it was a little TOO tight. I may go back to the hardware store and pick up a slightly fatter o-ring, but for now, this works perfectly for me.

Please forgive my very sloppy, non-polished snap - its almost blasphemy to post, but just to show my typical gap.

screw it hard on the provari silentt and threads will open, no worries. Its maybe a small piece of metal around the threads of the Ody. Or maybe you can sand a little the threads of Ody to make small pieces of metal leave.
well I guess mine isn't built to spec :(

This worked Imeo. I was scared to mess up my threads on the Provari but everything is fine now. Thank you my friend.

I am a new stealth owner...what setup is this?
Is it just the telescope tube added in the middle? And what batteries can you use?
