Ody in "medium window" mode

I wrote a post to Imeo some time ago about how nice it would be to have a "medium window" mode for the Ody. I saw one on the Greek forum (I guess someone modded it) so I decided to do some tinkering.

The problem I was having was that the expansion pack has either a too long a mouthpiece or using the short mode mouthpiece it's simply too short. Well what I did is insert a second ring (the one we use to ground the negative wire) over the one on the ceramic. Now the second ring raises the short mouthpiece just enough to make it look just fine. It vapes great and looks quite good. It would be great to have a new mouthpiece just a bit longer than the short one though. Imeo you listening brother (I know after P&P )

I suspect they have cut the bottom tube to make the mouthpiece just right, or used a new longer mouthpiece they machined.

I believe you can achieve this mouthpiece look if you are using the 510 base. i realised my mouthpiece got a tad shorter after switching to my GGTS base.

Oo.. im pretty sure the tank has been tampered with. its pretty short. What i meant was that if you were to switch it over you probably get a decent length tip on a 510 base

instead of making an expensive new longer mouthpiece we can make a cheaper metal or plastic mouthpiece that can fit inside Ody's mouthpiece hole guys

Imeo I'm going to machine the tank tube to make it shorter. Your solution will be the easiest but not the best looking and we cannot have anything but the best for GG's. Is it cheaper to manufacture shorter tank tubes than mouthpieces because that would solve the problem as well. We will just have a bit less juice capacity

I"ll shorten this piece and take out the stop in the middle and it should work fine

its a nice idea Steve. But mouthpiece is a better option because of 4 reasons:
1. We can have different mouthpieces
2. Lower cost
3. we dont carry extra tubes but only a mouthpiece that can be put on all Ody modes too
4. I have to make a new mouthpiece too together with the new tube

I'm all for a nice shapely and shiny mouthpiece to plug into my Odysseus... in any and every mode.

New mouthpiece extension wouldn't feel as stable as a new tank section or full new mp though. I'd love to see 1 long SS tank piece for big mode (and a clear one as well!), and also single clear windows for both short and medium mode. Engravings on the single ss tank piece for big mode would be a must though.

I'll second everything you said Rick. The Ody is the best atti out there. There should be no compromise to it's looks or versatility.

thanks a lot Steve. I dont disagree of course with you or rw, I just try to find the best and less expensive way to do that
