Hello,

Just bought an ody off of the classies, should be here next week. The person said they upgraded the v1 to a v2, unfortunately it does not come with the stainless steel tank. I have been reading several threads on here and was wondering if there will be another preorder for some parts.

I preordered the Ithaka, and read that will be replacing the odysseus. I was hoping to be able to get the stainless steel short mode piece, as well as the clear tank extension (those would go together? or would I need the stainless tank extension full mode to go with the clear tank?) and the v2 base if the one I bought does not have that.

Sorry for all the questions, new to the gg products and really looking forward to the ody until the ithaka arrives.

I don't think the SS tank tubes were available on the last preorder Long. If the previous owner upgraded to v2 that just means you will have the revised ceramic and ceramic housing.
So it sounds like you want medium mode? Both of those tubes are from the expansion pack which more than likely will not be produced again. And I doubt if any Ody parts will be produced again except maybe essentials like ceramics and orings.

I recommend checking the forum often because Imeo will announce the shipment of the last Ody parts preorder and COV may have some extras that you want. But I'm pretty sure tank tubes were not available on the preorder. Your best bet at this point for what your looking for is the classifieds.

Thanks for the reply. Kinda what I was worried about. I'll keep looking at the classifieds see if anything pops up. Don't think I would use the steel tank much cause I like seeing my juice, but would be nice just to have.

From what I have seen then the real change between v1 and v2 is the housing right? I also saw that the bottom has groves in v2 to help with airflow, does this make a big difference?

Sorry for so many questions, but if I am able to get extra parts from COV are there any you suggest?

Yeah, I forgot about the air slot on the bottom of the base. And I don't have v1 to compare but the slots on v2 probably just allow you to screw the atty closer to your mod and still maintain air flow. The v2 ceramics and housing improve the negative connection.

No worries Long. Get a few v2 ceramics (provided yours has been upgraded) ,some spare orings and a couple plastic spacer/washers. Maybe one each of the tiny nuts that go on the connector pin just in case you lose one. That's it. Check for the tanks but it's not likely.

It looks like v2 ceramics and the center post top nut are available right now. I don't see the Ody washer either but I'm sure you could use the "Penelope Plastic" in it's place. Having said that though, it's going to depend on which center post you have on whether or not you will use the plastic insulator. If your center post is v1, you'll use a small oring as the insulator (isolates the center post from the ceramic housing).

Imeo,

Thanks for the heads up. I am sure you hear this a lot, but wanted to say it is very impressive to see how involved you are in the forums with your products, and very responsive to any an all questions. Thanks again, can't wait to get mine in the mail. Figure that will tide me over until the Ithaka is completed.

Any chance that short mode tanks will be at COV when the other last preorders shipped? Or that another run of preorders for ody parts? Fingers crossed for some good luck :)

I will send plastic insulators to Bruce on January Long:)

Also, even better news for me. The seller said it is a complete V2, so if it is the case even happier that it is all upgraded. When I get it in will have to take a part and compare to what I have read.

thank you Long:)

I didnt make Ody bodies, I am really sorry. I had to make the rest of things as soon as possible so I would be able to start making Ithaka quickly

No worries. Just really happy I will be able to use this until the ithaka is ready.

So, since the seller said it is a full V2 during his last pm what all would I need to check to make sure. Based on what I have read and been told I would look at the ceramic and housing, and the base with the slots for improved air flow. Any other pieces, such as mouth piece, etc?

The v2 will also have a notched small cap mouthpiece nut instead of smooth round one. And the center post may or may not be solid as apposed to having a groove near the end like the one shown on COV...it is a v1 but I think some v2 Odys had the v1 center post. That design change was for improved structural integrity I believe.

I made a lot of things but most of them are presold Long. If you lost presales then you just have to be quick to buy what you need:)

Thanks River. I think i read that about the center post in another thread. If i remember correctly some tried to tighten the center post with a screwdriver which would cause issues but the slotted one allowed it to be used on another base. Again may be wrong have read alot of threads in the past week on gg :)

Thanks again everyone, appreciate all the help and info.
