Bishop, one thing I noticed in your videos is you don't put a blue flame to your wicks - is this something you do off camera or is there no reason for it? I've heard various different views on the subject, but I've always done it, and it says to do so on Bruce's website. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter! It seems to make the wick more fragile, that's for sure!

I also hastily tried dual coils but I was in too much of a hurry and I screwed it all up when I put the mouthpiece on, not realizing how high up the coils were on the ceramic (so I smooshed the coils, d'oh! I know, I know.. go slow! Even grandma can do it!). Might try it again tonight if I have time. How is battery life with duals compared to single coil?

Great video Bish with very nice suggestions. You are the most helpful person that I know, you are doing a really great job out there!:)
I did this on one of my shows on Vapetv. Since some of the users had asked for it I asked Imeo if it be ok to post here. He gave me his blessing.

Did you like what i said about the collector tank? it's so important to wash that out. I'm making a new video using sonic cleaner a huge difference in flavor when the collector tank is dissembled and cleaned out thoroughly. I get a better taste to my atty do to the condensation.

As for me torching wick No I don't torch wick. However if I'm using a Nextal wick i do some serious torching do to chemicals.

keep in mind that if you stock a lot of silica wick that it does dry out. You'll know when you setup a coil and it doesn't wick well you get dry hits when wick is covered in juice. if this happens then you need to boil your wick in hot water then use paper towel to dry it and then place it in microwave for maybe 20-30 seconds then wrap your coil and you see how fast wick absorbs vg juice like a blink of an eye.

1 Piece of advice you might add to the coments is that the V1 ody had an o-ring instead of the plastic there.

Also maybe someone can help me out her ebut I don't understand why this isn't shorting out. Your negative wire is touching the posative pin which should short it. That being said the only reason I could think of that it is working is because it is actually making the negative connection in the channel instead of at the bottom. If that is the case this may not work in a V1 ody. Kinda wish I still had mine just so I could check.

Because you asked Bish, I have to say that cleaning the collector tank is a very big plus to an exellent vaping experience. If you vape a GG construction exactly as it comes from machines you will notice a really huge smell of the machine oil, because air passes from where the oil is. So if the collector tank is dirty you will smell it.

I will be making a revise video I think I know whats going on here. I been doing this build for a good 3 months and have not gotten a short. After I discussed it with a friend of mind it turns out when I go to replace the coil i see the negative wire molded on the plastic insulator. This happens when I pinch it and tighten it. That's why i don't get a short because the wire never touched the post. It only touched for a brief time but when you tighten that the wire some how molds on top of the insulator which will prevent the short.

For the folks getting a short then don't do a 360 do a 180. a line if you will and push up the insulator and tighten it then continue . For me I guess I been lucky because when I replace coil i always see the mold of the wire on top of the insulator which shows me its not even touching the center pole.

Well that was a good watch, fantastic early morning vaping lesson.

The positive and negative connection tips and the small wick going under without being wrapped is golden information thats music to my ears that'll have the vaping demons head banging in my throat whilst the vaping angels dance on my tongue.

Always a pleasure Bish, You talk and explain everything perfectly.

i get similar issues with my ody v1 in terms of the leaking. my problem is a bit different. my ody only leaks right after i fill it up. it gurgles quite a bit so i have to blow on the mouthpiece so the flooding juice comes out 510 conn. a good bit of juice comes out, not all, maybe 1/3 of the amount in tank, then all is good until the next filling. i wonder if i had a ggts base if that would help? ive tried to find one on the classifieds but i gave up on looking because gg parts are so hard to find. I was thinking that upgrading to V2 inners would help so i have better grounding and can eliminate the grounding wire from being the cause of my leak but yet again i cannot find the metal ceramic housing anywhere. I have the v2 complete center post and i know vassilis has the ceramics in stock at the moment so if anyone knows where i can pick up a v2 ceramic housing i could try that. I hope i dont have a fake ody, as i bought it off of classys i cant be sure, but compared to my penny, the construction is equal in quality and beauty and i bought it from a reputable member on ecf. i replaced the oring between ceramic housing and post with the plastic insulator bushing but no improvement. i really think i need new upgraded inners because mine have seen an extreme amount of vaping and i think some fresh v2 inners would fix the problem. i wonder if i should continue the search for the v2 inners or maybe order ithaka inners to put inside when they become available? anyway after 5 min of flooding my ody turns into the best vape ive had. it didnt always leak like this so i guess after all this rambling, has anyone had their inners just wear out and needed replacement? oh any btw, awesome video bishop, you and imeo taught me everything i need to know about GG and then some.

wait for Ithaka's rebuildable part Jeff. Not only its a V2 style but it has the best negative connection and its dual coil too
