Thanks Quigsworth.

Probably didn't explain myself properly Serpent, I understand it needs to be screwed tight, its just that there's quite a bit of play between the threading on the nut and that of the ceramic housing. I just had some concerns that juice could travel down the inside of the nut.

The knurled nut that comes with the expansion kit on the other housing is much tighter, at least in my kit.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, in fact just the opposite, the thread tolerances on the juice control and knurled lock ring should be a little looser than the body parts or ceramic holder/base threads...first, it allows the base to be screwed on (setting your + pin offset) and it tends to stay there, if the lock ring threading was as tight it would be pretty tough to keep from spinning the whole thing (lock ring and ceramic holder) screwing up your offset...and the looser tolerance on the flow control could even be a little looser:p...I like the light touch

I had a good leak today. No idea where it leaked from, but my GG was laying in a pool of juice when I got home. At first I thought it leaked down the center post and into the collector tank, then out on to the table, but the funny part is there was not a single drop in the collector tank  Had everything closed up tight and it hasn't leaked during the use of three full mode tankfulls, nor has it been leaking since I got home and started using it. Something with the ridiculous heat we had today must have caused it, but I'm totally baffled as to exactly where it leaked out of

Anyway, all good now, just thought I'd share the experience

Definitely Killjoy... as Huff stated.... glad everything is working well again. Sometimes freak things happen.... and yes, I believe with the summer heat on the way we may run into some peculiar situations with leakage, condensation, perhaps even a slight blow back.

So far since "hopefully" resolving my leaking issue, after breaking in a new coil and wick.... it's been a purely enjoyable experience vaping for me. No leaking, no wicking issues, no flooding even while cracking open the JFC better than 2 1/2 turns - it primes nice and quick (about 4-6 hits or 10-15 seconds).

lol - Nyce Huff! - Well I guess the main thing is that your vaping nicely now and "Ta Da' Not leaking..

Huff, the next time you disassemble your Ody / UFS - if not replacing the O-rings, try sitting them in a bowl of warm - med warm water for a few minutes before vaselining them back up for assembly.

This should help make a better seal.

maybe your tank was full of juice and you had left the juice control almost full open kill?

Nope, it was screwed down tight. I think I found what the issue was: the o-ring under the small top cap was split and I think it leaked out there (it was laying down and the tank was full). I didn't even notice this until I was refilling today, but it only leaked on that one really hot day anyway (it almost hit 90 and the sun comes in the window by where it was laying for a short time in the early afternoon). Been using it every day for the last week and that was the only variable and VG does flow a little easier when it's warmed up ;-)

Besides, even if the Ody were to leak profusely with every third fill I would still consider it one of the best pieces of vaping gear I own ;-) So since I've only a couple of times had leakage you can guess how satisfied I am with it :)

.... As for the leakage, please do the trick on my recent video and tell me your result:)

I'm headed out to go pick up some NiCromA R wire (if the store has it) and swap out my Kanthal coil. If not, another Kanthal coil is in order. I'm going to build a new coil for the weekend and load a new juice type. I'm going to build and wind the coil exactly the way it was shown in the video Imeo.

I'll post my results...

Peace-
