Worked for me too got 5+ refills and no leaks with wrapping the wire around like in your video. Thanks Imeo!!

Woohoo! That's what I am going to tackle once this coil dies. Right now my wire is grounded between the base and the ceramic housing without the nut. The nut comes soon! Glad it refills nicely.

Well, I'm back to completely frustrated with my Ody again. After I got full mode working I went back to short mode. I simply cannot get any of my coils or juices to wick properly. They taste dry/burnt either right off the hop, when I open the juice control I do so in the same increments and even with juice control totally opened, it doesn't wick properly and goes back to burnt....

I want to love my Ody like everybody else, shuld I be using more wick? Less wick? Double in channels? Triple in cup?

One thing to check, make sure your coil is not wrapped to tight around the wick which would choke it.

Yeah that's the problem I was having with it earlier, or so we thought... The coil I made after the problem worked fine. Since then I have made and instantly wasted 13 coils of all kinds of configurations. I just can't get this thing working consistently. I have watched every video Imeo has ever made, the Ody ones about 8 times each now. Scott's, Merv's and others. This is driving me nuts. I have wasted about $20 worth of stuff from COV and about 30mls of juice now. I love this thing but it is driving me insane.

Have you tried the Krinkle coil setup, Funky?

Two shorts pieces of wick on top with none in the channels.

Works like a charm and I have not had one of em flood yet.

I haven't. I guess I can give it a shot. I have no idea how it could feed and not leak, but at this point I am willing to try anything. Also, if it isn't feeding with wick How is it going to stay moist without it? I am also terrified I'll short it out too...

Are there any pics of the coil set-up? If not I would greatly appreciate a picture if anyone could help

When wraping your coil, insert a needle between the long piece of wick and the short one (double on top wick method) to ensure the coil aint too tight;that method is used for constant coil wrapping.

drip some juice on the new wick, fill body and leave alone a lil while so everythign soaks up well.

It has to work.

Two short pieces wick on top cut flush with sides of housing.

Be sure post wire is in bottom of channel as not to cause a short on the ring.

Other wire trapped under ring and base as usual.

Imeo and I both agreed we don't know how exactly it works, but it does and does well :)

Krinkle's a genius.

Keep us posted.

Krinkle is definitely a genius. I don't think I've ever read one of his post's that I didn't like, or laugh at. Thanks for taking the time to help me out, my friend. I'm going to nail this beast soon. I have made a coil just like you described. I'm going to empty my Ody, install it and take some pics. I will keep you posted.

Thanks for the tips dude. I have been using a 1.5mm Needle when I wrap them. I wonder if that is wide enough? As for the soaking. Usually the first two or three hits are OK after a fresh coil, but when it comes time to open the liquid control it just doesn't feed. The coils aren't burnt when I disassemble them either.

I will keep everybody posted. Thanks for being the best support group on earth.

No prob Funky.

I looked for some old pics to no avail. They are way back here in the Gg forum somewheres.

Just remember to not open the juice control too much.

I like to open and close it quickly a couple few times, close it off and get it vaping then crack it open just a litlle bit and vape away.

Give it a shot and see if that works for ya? :vapor:

Well, I hate jumping the gun, but everything seems to be working right now. No dry hits, no leaks (damned if I know how not or why not...)

I can't get my camera to focus right now, which sucks so no pics at the moment either.

In any case, you have preserved my sanity for at least the lifetime of this coil. Unfortunately I made a rather high resistance somehow so it's not the best vape but certainly a great step in the direction of the SVC (Satisfied Vapers Club). I will keep everybody posted.

I had the same kind of problem with my ce2 in long mode ody,I just drip a couple drops in the mouthpiece and vape it...that last a long while before getting another dry hit.

I tried that too, but it only helped for a few hits and was basically just dripping.

Also: What happens when the juice level gets below the coil, below the nut? Will juice still feed up? I can't see how it's possible but I think I read somewhere that Krinkle vapes his tanks dry, with no problems using his method.

As long as juice can reach the wick you're golden, it will wick up to the coil. There isn't much space below the nut, so when you get that low there's hardly any juice left in it, anyway. Really, there is so little wasted juice at the end of a tank it's hard to believe. I've vaped Ody dry, only a few drops left in the tank, and still been able to continue vaping for a short while just on what's left in the wick channels before getting a dry hit.

And this is with the Krinkle method?

Same here, I vape my tank dry also

I use double wick in ceramic and wick down both channels
