Hi,

I'm brand new to the Odysseus world - in fact I don't have one yet, but it's on its way and should be here before February.

I have much to learn about RBAs (this is my first, in fact; I'm upgrading from a Kanger T3) but I was wondering if it was possible to use the Spin E method in the Ody. It was invented for the Genesis, but given the amount of room in the ceramic cup, I was wondering if it might be possible to wind a long, semicircular freestanding coil in the middle of the cup and pack wicking around it.

Does anyone have ideas on how to make this work, or any experience doing so? If not, what coil options are generally considered great? I have no aversion to difficulty - I am good with my hands, and have years of experience with soldering, so my manual dexterity should be up to snuff. I know there's a thread on coil methods, but there are a ton to look through, and I'd like to hear input from experienced Ody users.

I'm planning to stay away from dual coils, at least below about 2 ohms - I'll be vaping my Ody on an eVic, which has a pretty low amp limit, and I'd like to be able to push it to its full 5v limit. Once I get a MiD, that won't be an issue, but on an eVic I can't push more than 2.5ish amps, maybe 2.75.

For the extra wicking, I meant around the coil, since the Spin E method dictates that the coil is loose - not wound around a wick of any sort.

What wicking material do you like? I'm thinking hollow ceramic with SS mesh in the middle might be pretty good.

Symmetry the debate of what's better 3.7v and Dual coil low resistance vs High Voltage and high resistance is one that endless pages have been written. It is for sure very subjective and you'll hear great arguments from both sides. I would recommend you try both to see what better suits your personal taste. The good thing is that the Ody can handle both with ease

And Ody can handle something more than those 2 options Steve. It can handle low resistance coils in high voltages. You know that better than me ahahaha
