This method is mine Symmetry. I found it 1 year ago. I made a coil around a pin, then I put it on my atomizers and then I put cotton on it.

Basically, it's a freestanding kanthal coil with cotton batting surrounding it.

Oh wow, that's amazing - I had no idea you invented that! So I take it that the method does work in an Ody?

I'll try it for myself as soon as I get my ody.

yes it works symmetry. Some people reported burn taste. Some others put coil between wicks to make it work better. Its a trial and error technic

you can twist the coils around the cotton as usualy do with the wick
no burn taste at all
much better flavor and a lot of vapor

I'll give it some trial and error...see what I can come up with. The low warmup time really interests me, and the technique as a whole seems great. I might try it with different # SS mesh to see if I can get higher surface area, too...then I could just put the mesh in a bed of cotton batting and get loads of great vapor (theoretically). If that doesn't work I'll try bunny balls instead of silica wicking - silica just is not doing it for me, so I'm going to experiment with other wick materials. Loose batting seems like it would a lot better than wick, but I'll find out.

I see now...I've only ever saw a "poor spin-e" set-up that looked pretty bad. That actually looks pretty cool.

I have to agree with Imeo on this one the symmetry does give lots of burn metal taste because wick not being replenish fast enough.
