Has anybody noticed that just as you put the last precious drops of your favorite liquid in the carto, IT DIES!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Could try retrieving the juice with either the reverse Taryn spin or an empty syringe! :) Think I might have even heard someone mention just blowing the juice out into something else, tho the foregoing would probably be more thorough (and neater).

Hi newbie here, just ordered a VaporKing, can't wait to get it. I went with the VK after reading many of the posts here. I know it will vary from person to person, but approx how many analogs is a cartomizer equal to? I only smoke about 1/2 a pack a day, Trying to get a feel for how long 15 pre filled carts will last. I bought some juice as well.

If yoou clean them using the "boil" method, you can get many re-uses out of them. I started with 15 cartos a month ago, I have more now, but I am still using many of the "old" ones, and they work just fine.

using KR808d-1 cartomizers (nonpremium, nonturbo) for about six weeks now.....mostly on USB passthrough.........I use one cartomizer for each flavor until it passes away....I rotate between three or four different flavors a day....I consider myself a heavy vaper.....my practice is to keep a cartomizer mostly full, topping it off with 5-6 drops every third time I use it.....my cartomizers typically last about two weeks....I've had one simply stop working, a couple have started to taste odd, not really burnt, but funky when they get beyond two weeks, but the biggest cause for failure is that they eventually get very hard to draw on, seem clogged....I have tried cleaning them but they never seem to taste as good as a fresh one and since they only cost between $1-2 and I only get an extra few days it just doesn't seem worth it.....

I agree with the "they are disposable, so just throw them away" thing, but I also think that they could be made to last longer. The problem is with the fiber that burns and stops wicking, but the carto's coil still works well and the carto still reads good ohms, so why trhow it away???

There was a little talk recently in a different subforum about going so far as to extract the filler and use them as drippers. What little was said sounded promising, and Dogsbody said he'd be doing a video on it eventually. I hope to hear more/see that. I hold onto everything, even broken stuff, 'just in case!' :D

I've never had a carto apart but has anyone tried replacing the batting in the carto with new batting or even blue foam?

I'm going to try both drippin and restuffing a carto, but right know I'm a little short on juice so I don't want to waste any on trial and error. As soon as the next order is home, I will try both suggestions and report back

I'm so glad you guys are interested. I tried several times on another thread recently to stoke some interest, but wasn't successful in that case (was hijacking also ;)). Whereas, similar to what Nietzsc said... and especially considering the prospect of bans... if one could milk their cartos for all they're worth WITH original filler, then remove it and possibly double the service life by proceeding to use them as drippers... Well why the heck wouldn't that be about as fabulous as it gets! :D Even renders a stockpiling decision between cartos and atties much less relevant!

(Of course I'm also interested in hearing about any filler replacement experiments to come, and striking gold there would be THE ideal, but have seen in passing that so far, afaik, attempts haven't been successful or very close. Doesn't prove nothing else can work either tho, is sure worth going after! :thumb:)

...pssst, Nietzsc -- some apparent success is being reported with a PTB re-stuffing here. (Was tempted to repost that in some area like 'Cartridge Mods' or 'Tips & Tricks' or something, to get more ppl to try and report on it... but too shy I guess. :p As mentioned, I know carto re-stuffing has been discussed several times in the past, but I never made a point to read those threads since it always seemed to be said 'in the same breath' that it just didn't work/work well.)

I've got some 510 cartos and went thru 5 in 2 weeks. I keep them wet, but even after a fill of juice, it starts burning my throat! I think I get about 2-3 days out of each. Im gonna try some different ones next time.

Haven't tried the 510 cartos but assuming this would be the same as with KR808s, might they have been vaped too far the first time? Since after a single over-vaping, they'll retain a bad/burnt taste throughout any refills.
