So the last couple of days I've poked my head in here more & more to see what's been going on with my old family. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like much has changed from the time I decided to take a break from ECF.

Does any of the veterans remember the time when V4L subforum used to be filled with people having fun with each other and sharing stories about how vaping has changed their lives for the good? Now it seems that the subforum is used strictly to post business related material (updates, complaints, questions/answers). Remember how good it was to be able to log into the forums and just chat with the extended family about any old subject? Remember when Steve, Mark, Leaford, and crew would post to share in the stories? Now all I see from them is updates to products, and I don't blame them. It seems everything said from Official V4L management is dissected and tore apart.

I took my long break from here because I started to feel cranky about logging into the forums. Instead of finding a welcome place to chat & share stories, I felt compelled to answer the same questions over & over & over again. It almost became a job, and the only payment was the hope that people could learn from past mistakes other people had made and prosper from the advice. I just realized that although I decided to come back to see if anything has changed, I've gone into the habit of answering questions that have been answered very recently.

I don't want to create any drama, I just wanted to possibly bring out the veteran "lurkers" that might still read the forums here and there but are just too tired of the "work" of posting. The old forums used to be FUN and we all needed each other to keep vaping. Quitting the cigs is no easy task, even with great products from V4L. We used to be the support group for each other, and have fallen away from that.

Let's get back into that. Let's start a family again. I miss all of my old friends from here. I miss chatting with Lynn about science stuff. I miss chatting with Jeff about skin products. I miss chatting with Maxx about his obsession with stockpiling. I miss Rocks82 being a general pain in my ..... I miss BornAgainst being a complete fool yet coming out with the best videos. I understand some just won't come back, and we'll have new members to welcome into our family.

Anybody with me?

PS. I'm not purposely leaving anybody out. I just didn't want to post 2 pages of people I used to have fun with.

Here, here:toast:chears, and I am in total agreement. I do miss you, as well as hundreds of other Family memebers who use to be on these boards more. I really think that summertime changes our habits, due to climate weather, especially in the area's like mine, where it get to the point, we are inside much more.

Let's all work together, and get the Mojo back:D

Thank You

Steve;)

This has always been and always will be a place to ask questions and I think that is a good thing. I do miss many of our old friends and the banter that used to go on here. Personally I have so many demands on my time that it seems like 90% of my posts here are answering product questions or talking about new products. I will personally pledge to try to remember to cut loose here everyone once in a while. I got the chance to meet some people from here this weekend, and it's amazed me how much almost everyone was similar to the picture I had in my head. There are some great people here, and I know a few don't post much anymore. Just drop a note and give an update on how things are going.

This place is what you make of it. If you respond to the negative..it starts pages and pages of sniping. If you respond to the possitive it creates even more pages of fun.
I love this place and I have watched people come and go, for many reasons. I miss most of them and wish them well.
But it's the nature of this beast, the cycles of good and bad. I wish there were a few more Jen-Jen's though.

Hey Darri, it took you to drag my sorry ... out of the shadows. I too had left, after having my last two posts closed by Mark as I was politely trying to defend Deez and Addy from the hordes of overly sensitive people who simply enjoyed starting new threads without any consideration of forum etiquette whatsoever, and cried foul when scientific facts were confused with opinions.

I too had pleaded in May for a return of many of our lost and disenchanted vets, but you can't blame them for getting sick of being glorified search engines for clueless whiners. I stop in once in a while just to test the waters to see if it safe for a scientist to wade back in, and Addy knows she can always PM me if she needs any backup (a rather unlikely scenario indeed). Belle left about the same time as me due to the same disgusting digression of this board. Maybe it will get better again, you have given me some hope?

If you get rid of that stupid hello kitty avatar, and if Belle pops back in, maybe things will improve a bit. I really miss the great comraderie and thoughtful discussions that used to propagate the board.

I forgot to request that Adrenalynn go back, past the unicorn rainbow, and put the puppy avatar up again:D As for Born, well he had a number of better avatars in the past; remember the Vapin Faces thread? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/70575-vapin-faces.html?highlight=vapin+faces

I miss chatting with Jeff about skin products.

That'll have my wife on the floor, Darr. The day that J talks about skin care is a day she's never known. But really great to see you around again. I've wondered about you and a few others, too, thinking that we need those ol' folks around to keep things real. I get by less often myself, but I still try to visit daily for at least a skim.

I can see why some folks have gotten bothered by the bickering here, but it doesn't bother me much. Most people are great, a few wild in mostly good ways, and still fewer rather annoying. I still enjoy the scene even if I feel myself slidin' away ever so slowly. I think it's a natural progression away from here once the cigs are dead and gone, and vaping becomes the norm. All good. Anyhow, I do hope you'll hang here a bit more. You too, Jam, and any other ancient treasures lurking or drivin' by. Take off yer shoes. Set a spell.

I haven’t posted in a while for the same reasons.
Nice to see you on here again Darr :D
I would love to see Jen Jen’s smokin’ kitty and paw paw’s face too!!

KD!! Hope you are doing well. :) I say we take the forums back over. I'm sick and tired of coming in here and seeing all the whining and complaining about everything. If you have a question the first thing you should do is search for it. The second thing you should do is search for it in good site search. Then if all else fails ask in here.
