What about 306?

The 306 is a particular type of atomizer that is a little more narrow than standard 510s or 901s. They are designed to use their own type of cartridges (and therefore specific 306 drip tips) that slide over the entire length of the atty, so 510/901 drip shields won't work.

Hey Mopar, have you heard anything about these VV's?
new mod.jpg

Adjustable Voltage e-cigarette mod. You can adjust the voltage from 3V - 6V with the push of a button. Uses two ICR or IMR High Drain 18350 replaceable/rechargable batteries (sold seperately) for a lasting performance.
1-2A range
3.0-6V in .1 voltage increments
PCB component in the switch/led housing
hard plastic lightweight body.

They are selling for $40 elsewhere, looks like a starter/budget VV mod...........just curious if you have had any experience with them.

They look like a pediatrician's rectal thermometers.

Also, 2A limit = weak, even for a starter VV.

That's pretty much all they're used for these days, though you need a 306 drip tip to go with them. The way they originally came, the carts had a foil cap over the end of the cartridge that the bridge punctured when you slid it over the atty, where there was filler about halfway in that transferred the juice inside to the bridge, wick and coil. I'm sure there are still some cheap E-cigs being sold out there that still use this configuration, but for the most part, experienced E-cig users use them for dripping (those who are given to dripping) because some prefer its performance over 510s or 901s. I'll have an atomizer roundup video soon that will feature the 306, 510 standard, 510 bridgeless, and 901, where I will test them for performance (flavour, vapor and TH). Possibly an I06 too if I can get my hands on one.

Ya on a different vendor site they are listed as 2.5amp limit but are selling for $79........

Not a very attractive price point for that. Cheaper materials than even the Lava Tube, it looks like a kid's toy.

We aren't gong near them with the Vmax and the EVO2(can use IMR's) on it's way(with the replacement switches for everyone) the only 2.5amp VV device we will be carrying is the lavatube. Plus they look like they have down syndrome :)

Unrelated note if anyone wants to have the stupidest vape of there life. Take a 2.5ohm smok tank carto and cut the coil at the top(thanks pherse) make sure they aren't touching anymore and jam it into your tank. Get it primed and crank your lavatube to 6.0V's. It's ridiculous or use the 1.5 and don't go to 6.0 I now want 9V vaping.

I don't understand. Cut the wire that loops over the center tube? That would create a short. Unless you're using the juice as the electrical conductor or something, which seems a bit bizarre.

I saw a guy do this on YouTube and I think the idea is that you're left with one working 5ohm coil that you can push higher on a lavatube. I don't have a LT so I haven't tried it. Had my eye on the SS LT just haven't pulled the trigger.

Hi IT_guy. Nice to see more Saskatchewanians here :) Is that even a word? lol
You should pull the trigger. You can always sell it to me later. lol :

And Therealcmac. Try 306! Love 306! Darkside influenced me to retry the one I have had sitting in the case for weeks and WOAH. Evo Red setting using aw imr's with 24mg juice is umm way awesome! I can't explain it. Now I need a drip tip for it so I don't burn my lips off. The cover gets so hot.
Great, more ordering of vapegear. hahahah
No atty I have put on here works properly on anything but green. I was on a big 306 phase the second week in and didn't even try it again. derp!

One more thing.. If you screw it down too far it may not work on the EVO. On mine I keep getting it flashing a white light 3 times unless its barely screwed in. Even with a 510-evo adaptor or a 510-510. I put my mouth on it to vape and then white error lights like the battery is dead.
I'm a crazy nut about screwing things down lightly on the evo after reading about the 3v0 and having a switch die on me. I think the switch connector is very weak. The switch ic gets crushed in the earlier versions it seems from what I have read and then you end up with a useless switch.

Pherse also mentioned this to me at the last vape meet, and I did give it a try. It works well (althought I still can't get into those tanks, they just don't work right for me).
Your basically cutting one of the coils out as IT_guy said, so instead of having 2x 3ohm coils you only have 1x 3ohm coil.

ParSer.gif

Because they are wired in Parallel you can do this (see above image). If they were in Series this wouldn't be possible. As long as you clip the wire and they are not touching, nothing wrong will happen. If they happen to touch, it will just reactivate the 2nd coil. No harm, no foul.

Not quite sure what would happen if that wire were to touch the side wall of the carto though.....
