I need to know if the SMOKTECH XL 1.7 Resurrectors have the not so good tasting filler, or is it only the other sizes and styles that they changed...
Thanks :)

I ordered a large amount of Resurrrectors last March before all the concerns started being raised, and the ones I have used so far have all been good. But I have wondered, the same as you, about the Res's now. The reports of bad cartos have seemed to have died off recently, so if there was a problem, mabey they have gotten better. I know Andrew has a no crap policy for his products, so I believe that if he had been getting a bunch of complaints, he would have done something. I am not out of cartos yet, but I am going to order 1 box of Res's and a box of 2Ω and see how they are.
I am not affiliated with CCV, just a satisfied customer.

As to the resurrectors... I've been using em for a year and a half or so, and I'll say I noticed a difference in the filler a few mos ago. I don't like the new filler deal quite as much as the old (you know, not sure if its a DIFFERENT filler or if they're just packing them tighter, seems 'denser' to me), but they're still by far the best cartos around, imo. Can't WAIT till the 3ohm versions come out. Again, slightly different, but doesn't seem so much a 'taste' issue as a slightly tighter draw issue, and there is a fix to the slightly tighter draw that takes all of 2 seconds if you find its an issue for you. Someone here told me about it. *Just tap a dremel tip or any other wide pointy edged tool into the tiny 'straight line' indentation on the bottom of the 510 connection on the resurrector. Goal is just to deepen that channel the tiniest bit, and that makes airflow better. Make sure you use a tool that is the width of the 'line' itself, and no wider, as you don't want to 'squish' the 510 connector thread edges around the indentation. It really doesn't bother me, and I don't even bother with the fix, personally.... I'd say I enjoyed them 5% more before... totally negligible. Would be great if they went back, but still amazing carto, and my absolute fave.

ALSO... can't speak to these chrome V2 vv tubes with certainty, but I have a stainless v 1.5 tube, and all the 'metal' tubes from that run have a slightly airy draw. We've found that using a '3.5ml tank cone' screwed into the ego connection (so you can't really even see it) tightens up the draw a bit. BUT I find when using the resurrectors I don't have to do that, since the draw is slightly tight naturally with those. Again, not certain that's the case with these v2s, but they do look identical in terms of body shape to the v1.5, so they very well may be...if you ever think you'd like a tighter draw, try the resurrectors, and you can always give the 3.5ml tank cone a whirl with any cartos/tanks with an airy draw on that device. And yes, even though it doesn't seem like a 3.5ml tank cone would make sense, works with 510 cartos, tanks, etc. I have photos explaining it in my blog post. Might NOT work on the v2, but if you have a v2 and a 3.5ml tank cone, might wanna give it a whirl, since I for one have found that I like being able to manipulate the 'draw' on my tube as well. Andrew does sell the 3.5ml tank cones, last I checked.

I was under the impression that there was a nasty taste to the newer style...Possibly some other version and not the Resurrectors, been all over the place reading different things for quite some time now :)

Bout 80% of it all was user error not filling them enough, bout like any mass produced product then add china into the equation, sure to be some issues somewhere. Just like email I got saying first 8 were bad,, well he was putting 15 drops in a 70 drop carto, plus if that was not enough he was using it in a lt at 5.0 volts, wondering why all he tasted was burnt azz, said he wanted to make sure it worked before filling it up,,,lol , so like I said vast majority is user error

On that note, though, I've found that the resurrectors are by far the most 'consistent' vape I've ever had. Way moreso than boge even, based soley than my experience. Tons of cartos you may get a really funky one now and again, or even one with a wildly inconsistent ohm reading right out of the package, but the 1.7s just seem to be exactly the same, every time. And been getting cartos from CCV for a good year and a half or more, and I vape a TON in a ton of flavors, so I go thru a good 15 in 2-3 mos, and literally never had a dead one out of the box, not ever. So whatever they're doing in the way of quality control at smoktech seems to be working. Either that, or I've just been insanely lucky, which is SO far from my usual that I really doubt that's it. lol

[waving hand in air] Request. Product request.

I'd love to see CCV sell 2.5 ohm (or even 3 ohm) DCC's. If you're making a list of things to ask your Smoke Tech rep about, they may have.

The reason I ask is, I'm not so comfortable running 2 ohm or less hardware on my VV devices for a couple of reasons. First, I'm a doofus, and inevitably turn the thumbwheel on my Altoid tin mod the wrong way and smoke cartos. Second, I like having something that can work at most of the range of my device. I wouldn't mind paying around $2.60 a pop for them. 3 ohm ones would probably rock for the VMax crew.
