Went to my folks house to celebrate my Mom's 86th birthday today... 
We normally celebrate birthday's and holiday's at my sisters place now... but today was Mom's birthday and I was uncertain if I'd be able to get up there next weekend which is when my sister was first able to plan for it since my brother-in-law is working today... Still.. my sis dropped off some flowers and cheese cake while I was there so we all got to visit some.

Got up early this morning... first thing was to go start the coffee pot of course...
Then I went and sat down at the computer... looked at the reported temps... dang 14° ( later I'd see it'd gotten down to 12° )... Normally I check the forecast before I go to bed so I know what the next day is... I didn't last night and certainly wasn't expecting it to get that cold and I hadn't turned any taps onto dribble mode.
So I run into the bathroom and check the shower.. it's good... then even though I'd filled the coffee pot.. I did that with the cold water, so I went ahead ( thinking I was fine but wanted to double check ) and checked the hot taps in the kitchen... frozen.. dang it.
Normally I stick my hair dryer in under the cabinet... since it's almost time for work and may have to leave... I switched it up and moved my bedroom heater ( which has a thermostat on it ) into the kitchen. If I've got to leave... I'll leave the heater on but just close the tap down to a dribble .... if I can remember if lefty is actually loosey

I made a boo boo... I ended up putting both of my space heaters on one circuit... had to move one of them to a different outlet and go outside to the breakers to flip the other back on
... I've poured another cup'a decaf hoping it will help.

Good afternoon y'all, I hope everyone's having a great Monday for what it's worth. Stiggy finally went to the vet today N got her shots and checkup. Everyone's present and accounted for at my place .
