Norman, Ok
Since the first of the year ( literally on the 1st ), I've had a cold. Symptoms being stopped up sinus, runny to snotty nose and either a gravelly or non-existent voice. Other than being a bit more tired than usual, I haven't felt bad, so no fever or aches etc. Still, I'm getting way too tired of this stuff... I've been doubling up with vitamin C, taking decongestants when needed and gargling several times a day. I think tonight I'm going to try simulating a fever by turning up the heat in my bed and try to sweat it out.

That stuff has sure been going around and hanging with a lot of folks around here...

My attempt at sweating it out, didn't work. I'm going to have to crank the heat up more than I thought to get a good sweat going I guess. If all else fails, find a friend with access to a sweat lodge... lmao :D

I could see going to a doctor for a flu where they actually do have drugs that help combat them... but on a cold, they don't really have anything more than stuff to help alleviate the symptoms but nothing to combat the actual cause. So I mostly rely on using a heavy dose of vitamin C ( 1000mg which is 1600% more than the daily recommended ), some type of decongestant and if needed some B12 for a bit of an energy boost. Then just plenty of liquids and rest. Having said that, if you are prone to pneumonia, getting a shot to avoid that is certainly a good idea.
