J, I had the same question and went on to find out. I reached the conclusion that for me, it really was not all that great a difference except for faster liquid use. Single coils are what I mostly use and duel coils very seldom on a few atomizers that require them.

I never have bothered with building dual coils, just stuck with the simple way. Just curious tho, am I missing a lot?

Do many of you guys build dual?

been using prebuilt lately, but when I was building I only did single coils.

I don't I use regular singles still too :D

Yeah, I have the feeling I'd reach the same conclusion as Sunny. And faster liquid use is not something I need...

As far as pre-built, when we had our Great Hoarding Event back in 2016 I started building my own and just never got back to going pre-built again. Would make life easier, tho...

I always preferred doing it simple also. I also liked that a single coil didn't suck down the battery as much if using the same coils on each one as you did on a single.

Remember some basics... doubling the coil ( if using the same as a single ) also halves the ohms which uses more of your battery ( s ) but on the other side it doubles the surface area which allows it to make more vapor. Of course more vapor doesn't always mean more flavor. To get more flavor you can't let the power on the coils get too hot or it will affect the flavor.

I do use the dual coils on the drip box 160. It does use more power, two fully charged 18650's only last me one day. Using dual coils also uses lots of juice, I wouldn't say double but definitely more than a single coil. I get lots of vapor fast, like in two seconds. And yes I do get fairly good flavor from the dual coils, I think it's because it fires really fast. I probably could get more - faster clouds if I went up in the wattage but anything over about 70watts does tend to cut the flavor down.
