If I may be serious though ( cause I like the stuff )
Photography 101 ... Rule of thirds.... ( one of the many positioning rules to help create interest )
Centering, which I do use on a lot ( most ) of my Moon shots, denotes a sense of stability... using one ( or more ) of the rule of thirds spots for the subject, imparts a sense of movement not to mention using the lines to separate the areas... for instance you'd probably have a horizon on the lower third line if you were featuring the sky or perhaps on the upper third to feature a landscape or water scene. The thirds can also be done on a diagonal instead if that fits the composition better. Of course there are several other useful "rules" for positioning stuff... a very similar one is the golden ratio ( which the rule of thirds is probably just a simplified form of ).
Here is a recent actual shot of the Moon I took using the thirds rule when I made the final composition ... I usually tend to use the upper left more for some reason but this one felt better to me on the lower right... ( still not overlooking the tease, which qualifies for a POTD post
