Hurricanes aren't really that exciting to watch... except when something unexpected happens. I guess you really just watch and wait. For instance, I was at my sister's house when Charley came in 2004. We all sat in the garage, cooked and drank. It just looks like a really windy and wet day. Then, the neighbors tree started making noise and dropped right on his truck. That was pretty wild to catch. Other than that, it's like a really bad rain storm with heavy wind. If the power goes out, you eat well, since you don't want anything to go bad and cook what you can. During Charley, we lost power for 3 days.I guess I can't pick on that any ( without being a hypocrite ) since if I hear the word "tornado", I'm likely to go out and try to chase it... Still not sure what'd happen if I catch one ( other than getting a good pic of it )...
In contrast, I was living in Maine during the ice storm of '98. Lost power for 12 days. Ended up staying in hotels with the pets, or with friends. Didn't have a fireplace in the house, and everything was iced over. It was horrible.

I was up wordsmithing on a new sales flyer for work... I tried going to bed earlier and kept thinking of something new that the flyer was needing, finally gave in and got back up to work on it more. Today, I've taken all of the wording I did last night and redid it again so it's a bulleted list of services instead of several paragraphs so now it's more concise but still says about the same. I've set it aside for a bit now and will come back to it later to address a few other things that don't look/sound right etc.
