hate to say it redsock but just about all the pictures you take look better before you try and edit them

The bright one on the after sunset shot... was Venus and just up and to it's left was Mars

Not taking one side or the other... it's more of an OCD thing
Usually, the initial post processing I do is to recreate the shot and get things to look the same as what I saw and what encouraged me to take the picture. So when I finish that part and upload the image and it changes from what I saw initially to something else... the OCD kicks in. So the added edits I did were only there to compensate for those changes. It wasn't about which was better or worse for me... it was about getting it to look the same as what it started out as. The last edit was a subtle one, just added to the exposure ( +1.07 ) a touch and dropped back the highlights ( to compensate for the exposure change ) so the branches that were barely showing originally, would show up again.

I didn't mean to sound negative at all. Sorry if I did come across that way. I know what your train of thought thru that was and I've done the same myself before. Nothing can be accomplished if it's not tried fer sure
And I always like everyone's comments, I didn't take yours or anyone else's comments negatively.... I was just explaining what I was thinking about when posting the updated shot.
The most important thing... is what do others and myself enjoy the most and I do get that. That's just not how I think, I think more technically first about stuff and then the "artsy" part of what do I like the most comes into play much later. I also never worry about if what I like is the same as what others like, it isn't a competition. In fact, it's cool that everyone has different things they like.
It's also pretty cool on how we see and perceive what we see... which is a post I'm thinking about making in a bit but I may need to gather a couple of shots together to explain that ( see, there I'm thinking technically about personal perceptions this time )
i myself love to be exposed to others creativity, no matter what the medium.So I really enjoy people posting things they do. So keeps it up peoples
