Up until a couple of years ago, I'd been using Morton's Coarse Kosher salt for the meats I cook... not so much because it tastes better as much as it's not as dense as table salt so there is a lesser chance of over salting my meats I'm cooking. A couple of years ago, the folks gave me a 10.5oz bottle of Kosher Sea Salt Flakes by Pacific Blue and these were even lighter/fluffier than the Morton's which was really nice... It could look like I went nuts with it and still not be over salted.
So tonight as I was prepping the pork ribeye's... I noticed I was down to about a 1/3 of the bottle ( which is probably another years worth for me )... so I thought I'd look into getting a replacment. Went to Amazon and did a quick search... they want friggin $25 for the same size bottle.... Hey, I like it a lot... I don't like it $25 worth though...
