This has been a sad.. and an eventful day....
First the important part... 3 storm chasers died in a car accident while they were out chasing storms by Spur Texas. Two of them were from Missouri and the third from Arizona. They will be sorely missed and my thoughts and prayers are with their families. I knew none of them personally, although I made it a point to watch the two from Missouri anytime they were streaming their chase...
The same storms they had chased... made it up here by 10pm... by 12:15a they gave us 2.85" of rain. I've got a bit of flooding but not as bad as I've seen in the past ( since I fixed up the drainage around the house ). We will likely get more on and off through the night but the biggest part has probably already fallen. We've been needing rain and this will likely help a lot to help recover our lake levels and put a nice dent in the drought level here. I'll need to wet vac the living room by the front wall/window tomorrow after I get off of work... the kitchen on the other side will likely dry without me having to do much.

The kitchen is already dry... and I'll add some diluted pinesol or lysol onto the rug in the living room ... as soon as I get some of dat unleaded coffee in me...
