Hi everybody! My grandmother passed away and I have been out working at the farm trying to get things in order. I believe I have calluses on my bum from being on the tractor. Home now.
The little old dog had his spleen removed last week and the results just came back. The giant mass was not malignant, thank goodness. It was however ready to burst at any moment. So I am glad it is gone.
Otherwise we are all making it one day at a time. Hope everybody is well!

I'm glad that you made it back home... sounds like you'll need the break.

I'm so sorry to hear about you loosing your grandmother... that's always tough.

Oh yes we have been warned to shelter in place. To have our water, food, gas filled, cell phones not to work. They are expecting 30,000-100,000 extra people on the roads. Ma is in the direct path and we're told the same thing along with all business will be closed because they expect no one to be able to make it. Being in the earthquake, volcanic zone we have these things at all times. I will be closing the property gates and locking myself away. Sitting out by the pool with a cold drink and my eclipse glasses.

I hope you know that, iffin you don't listen to me , I'm telling you she was there and will always be there watching you. I is well Moonie took me to a Marlins baseball game dowms in da big towm ub Miamis and I gots to see exciting actiums and it was lotsa fun and he eben gave me some ub his balls and they were deliciousness like OMGAWDS dey was imcredibles and I eben licked my chompers after eating dem

Da ole man is still kickin and Deeogie says to say hello to da puppy and wamts me to put him on a plane to come bisit if dats okays wiff you. Iffin it's not den da hell wiff its at least I asked

Well my grandmother was not a very nice person. I went down to help my dad and grandfather deal with her death. Yep, in Texas. We don't currently have any crops in. A couple of years ago the prices tanked on what we were growing and it wasn't worth it. I think we will prolly put something in, in a couple years. The over growth had to be bushwhacked, and of course the lawn mowed. It was hot. I got a red neck again, it has been awhile. Then I had to put a new muffler on the tractor, and other little things. I went alone, the girl stayed here. The ticket was $1000 and the girl and my grandmother had no love for each other at all. There was no need for her to go. We didn't have a funeral, just graveside service. The puppy and I went to court to hang out. It is going to be hard for her to sit still. My bench is covered in crap already. Been building an am/fm radio. Send the send that dog on over the pup needs somebody to play with. You can borrow my drawers to get in the pool anytime you want.

Yeah... that's suppose to have all of the places to stay booked solid, no room anywhere, nor bathrooms etc...

My primary location ( for now ) depending on the weather forecasts.. is in Missouri close to OBG actually... and then Nebraska for a secondary location... I'm planning on leaving early AM Monday, hopefully with enough time to scout a location, setup ( again, hopefully with time to spare ) and try to get pics of the event... Then head back home right afterword. An approximate 7ish hour drive out to wherever and then back afterword.

I really need to plan out what my shoot is going to be like... then practice it a few times so it goes as easy as possible. For now I'm thinking start taking shots in 5 minute intervals until the time of totality and then take as many as possible the couple of minutes that lasts... and then again switch back to the 5 minute intervals until it's done. At each interval.. I'll be bracketing my exposure settings so later I can pick the best of the group.

I'm also told that while the pics are the goal... don't forget to actually watch and enjoy it. The eyes see so much more than a camera can capture.
