The surgery is cancelled for now. Tests indicate she has Buergers Disease which causes inflammation of the veins and arteries so they are going to first try treating with meds etc. As usual, this may also require that they reevaluate her other meds also.
Just waiting for them to release her and I will take her home.

While the reason for the following was prompted directly to what happened to a business client... it applies to anyone that uses email.
With the commonplace problem of hackers, scammers, spammers and phishing emails that we all experience today... I'm now recommending the following when it concerns any email with any attachment in it. NEVER open any attachment in an email, even those supposedly coming from someone you know, UNLESS you have verified directly that they were indeed the one that sent the email first.
If you are sending or receiving any attachments at all... even just a pic or a document.... First tell the person you are sending it too either by a prior email, a phone call or by making a reference in the email that only they can verify like using an invoice #, bid #, account #, reference # or something equally identifiable that a con artist can't possibly know.
On person to person emails... send a prior email simply stating something like... "Joe, this is Bob from ABC Inc... I'm going to email you some documents/pictures to review. Then after sending that... send the actually intended email with some additional info like.... "Joe, this is Bob from ABC Inc... this is the email I mentioned to you previously". Of course a prior phone call or using a unique reference number like I'd mentioned should also be good enough ( at this time ) to help protect both parties of the email from getting taken advantage of.
Of course you won't get everyone to follow those simple rules... so don't open the attachment right away and contact the person before you do. If you never hear back from them for whatever reason, just delete the email and if it was valid... tell them you tried to verify it first but when you hadn't heard back, that you deleted it and have them resend it again.
Taking just a few extra moments and it will help everyone be just a little safer in a potentially unsafe environment.

Been working on a project the last couple weekends when I have a little extra time, got the idea from this:
Bought a beautiful machete to replace my 20+ year old one. Made in Brazil. What an incredible tool! Went gonzo on the brush on the property today, more tomorrow.
Not sure what image I was projecting, but it seemed like the cars going by in front sped up, and averted their gaze. Maybe it's just me.....

Perhaps the machete seemed a little too ... I don't know... perhaps rustic would be a nice politically correct way to say it...
