Good morning y'all, here's hoping that we all have a great Thursday.

Well, I made my pitch to the managers at my old job to try N get it back a little while ago. Typed up a letter yesterday and everything. Unfortunately, they said they weren't in a position to re-hire me at this time. All is not lost however. One of the guys that hired me is now working at a different group of stations here in town, and they were at the job fair I went to on Tuesday. I don't know what I'm gonna do now, but hopefully I can get hired there before long. I may be down, but I AM NEVER OUT! Just thought y'all would like to know that.

Turns out that is a Gulf Fritillary butterfly... found after searching a 1/2 dozen websites...

Well... it seems that one of Maxie's cousins came by for a visit tonight...

I heard something rustling around behind the couch and then something banged the wall... got up to look. Found a brown garter snake that had gotten caught in a mouse trap I had back there... He ( or she ) must have really liked it, every time I tried to untangle it... it'd just wrap tighter around the trap, my arm and/or itself. I finally got it backed out of the trap to free it... and tossed it out front in the ex-flower bed. I'm uncertain how resilient their internals are... but I didn't find any broken skin or blood of any kind on it. Unfortunately, it also didn't look like it got a meal in my house either.

Maxie... you may want to warn the rest of the family... my house is booby trapped... call first before showing up
