pizza shop...save the frozen for another day

pizza shop is always 1st choice, and i'm very fortunate to have an awesome one about 1 1/2 miles from the house.
but it's always good to have a frozen one there just in case.

I'm BBQ'ing another of the pork ribeye's again tonight... then cutting it in half. I was having to force it too much to eat a whole one ( along with the potatoes and ice cream )...


I may try for some more storm shots tonight it's looking like... maybe even before dark. Although, there isn't much lightning showing in it at the moment. Again, it's west of me and heading NE so if it'll look good, I can take shots without worrying about getting wet or struck by the lightning.

You'll get no blame from me... but I'd like to put in an order for some of the isolated storm clouds if I may...

Lightning is good as long as it isn't right over the top of me

Thank you.. that was a storm from back in May. It did develop a small tornado ( F0 or maybe F1 at the worst ) over by Lake Thunderbird a little east of me. This one was a surprise... it was a small but narly looking one just south of me to start with, then a few minutes later as it'd passed a little to the north of me, it bloomed into a pretty nice sized storm... so I grabbed my gear and headed east to try and get out of town so I didn't have a lot of power poles and the like in the shot.

Speaking of growning... I'm going to go step outside and check out the storm to my west to see what's up... My radar shows the southern tip is heading east while the main part is still heading to the north... If I don't come back soon... I may be chasing another one.

Ok... I'm not running out to shoot this storm... but I did get some fun shots from the house.

This first one.. is a pano ( two pics stitched together ) of the storm to my west. On the far left side, where there the sun is highlighting a little bit of the clouds... they should have had just a little more gold/yellows within that one small area.

I should have got outside just a few minutes earlier after taking that last set of shots... I bet there was a lot more color just a minute, maybe two before this shot. Still... this is taken about 20 minutes after the last... just during the sunset.
