Ok... kinda off track here....

This is an interview for the NHRA with Justin Shearer aka "Big Chief" from the show Street Outlaws. He's basically moving from racing on the streets into the pro drag racing scene now. The reason I'm sharing is not because he's from here... but the two guy's he mentioned ( which are his mechanics ) are the son's of a gal friend of mine that I've known since I was about 20 yrs old ( she was 15 then, so she wasn't a girlfriend or anything ) and is the daughter of my friend I've know as long ( the kids grandmother ). Their grandfather and I were the best friends up until he passed away. He was a master mechanic, their father ( the one that raised both, one has a different father ) is a mechanic and their uncle that I've know "forever" is a mechanic as well. So they are following in the footsteps of their family.

It's pretty cool... that a couple of "rugrats" that were probably more under foot than anything else, that I knew from their birth and are now getting into the field that really drives them..

Yes he was and I know he tried to return the favor. You did all you could to comfort him in his declining years. (how many people would build an incline to aid thier best friend).

Wow... just had a morning shocker... GOOD MORNING AMERICA ... :)

At 7:04am... while trying to get back to sleep... I got shook awake to a pretty stiff, quick earthquake. Called the folks, same up there ( about 30 miles away ). It seems to take around 10 minutes give or take before the report is posted. Sort of curious now as to what the intensity is and where it was centered at.

not good.

I've seen some reports of what I guess you'd call minor damage stuff... but it's still early. Ie... bricks falling in some places, cracks in some foundations and interiors, food shaken off of shelves in some stores. No catastrophic failures or anything like fallen buildings or anything.

It is currently reported as a M5.6 which matches the record for Oklahoma... they'll often update the specifics later. Reports of it being felt from up by somewhere in North Dakota down to Austin Tx... recorded in Ohio ( not felt ).
